Denon has introduced the DHT-S517 soundbar and wireless subwoofer system, delivering Dolby Atmos surround sound from a 3.1.2 configuration.
Precision-engineered and finely tuned by the Denon Sound Masters, the DHT-S517 system delivers enhanced bass, clear dialogue and immersive sound.
It utilises a powerful 7-driver array, comprised of left/right channel tweeters and midrange drivers, a dedicated centre channel and two up-firing speakers.
The DHT-S517 is compatible with any TV setup, and using the included HDMI cable, audio from the smart TV or other compatible source is sent to the soundbar via the HDMI eARC feature. Users can also control the soundbar system using the TV remote.
Non-HDMI ARC TVs can also be connected through the digital optical input. An additional 4K UHD HDMI input is also included to connect HDMI sources to the soundbar directly.
Wireless music streaming is possible on the DHT-S517 via Bluetooth. Users can connect to any smart device to access their favourite music, playlists, podcasts and other programmes.
The soundbar and subwoofer system features Denon’s Dialogue Enhancer to improve the intelligibility of spoken content. This feature allows users to enjoy refined clarity with three available modes and a dedicated level control for dialogue that is independent of the overall system volume.
Multiple sound modes are available, tailored to different types of content: Movie Mode, Music Mode, Pure Mode, and Night Mode. In Pure Mode, all surround processing and other adjusted characteristics are eliminated, delivering the purest music listening experience possible.
The Denon DHT-S517 will be available at the end of this month for £379 / €399.
