Vaccination passport required for CES 2022

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has announced that visitors to CES 2022 will need to provide proof of having their Covid-19 vaccination in order to gain entry.

CTA is also assessing whether or not to accept proof of a positive antibody test as an alternative to the ‘vaccine passport’. Organisers are following state and local guidelines and recommendations by the CDC and will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation and announce any additional protocols closer to the show.

CES 2022 is due to take place in Las Vegas from 5-8 January 2022 with a digital event running alongside it for those who cannot travel.

“Based on today’s science, we understand vaccines offer us the best hope for stopping the spread of Covid-19,” commented Gary Shapiro, president and CEO at CTA. “We all play a part in ending the pandemic through encouraging vaccinations and implementing the right safety protocols. We are taking on our responsibility by requiring proof of vaccination to attend CES 2022 in Las Vegas.”
