In recognition of a rise in CEDIA members based in India over the past year, the association will travel to Mumbai in October to host a week-long training and networking event.
Returning to India for the fourth time on October 3 through October 7, 2016, CEDIA will host a selection of popular CEDIA education sessions at Hotel Sofitel in Mumbai.
“India continues to experience rapid growth in smart home technology, so we are thrilled to return to the country for another busy week of industry training and education,” said Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director of CEDIA EMEA. “This event not only provides professionals with invaluable training and guidance, but allows the CEDIA team to meet its members to share ideas and initiatives regarding the industry and its future. We look forward to seeing both new and old faces at the event this October.”
A handful of this year’s courses will be presented by experienced CEDIA presenters, Peter Aylett and Ken Erdmann. With over 60 years’ experience between them, Peter and Ken will deliver world class education in a range of courses, including the popular ‘Future Technologies: The Silicon Valley Scoop’, ‘Wire, Wireless and Fibre – Understanding Bandwidth’, and a number of fundamental networking classes.
Peter Aylett will open the training event on Monday, October 3, with the popular CEDIA Accredited Presenter course. This session develops attendees’ presentation and classroom management skills. This is a must attend course for those who wish to present on behalf of CEDIA in the future at CEDIA events and CPD road shows. Previous attendees include Sawan Nichani, Jay Nihalani and Harshul Parikh who will also be presenting CEDIA’s accredited courses during this five day event.
The final day will conclude with a mixed exam session, allowing attendees to take any of the three main CEDIA certifications: ESC-T, ESC-N, and ESC-D. Led by Ken Erdmann, the session starts with a short Q&A session, followed by a two-hour multiple choice exam.
