Leon Speakers Shows Horizon OTO Powered, Ultra-Thin Custom Soundbar (14/10/2013)
At CEDIA EXPO 2013, Leon Speakers showed off a mix of new products, including their redesigned Axis Series in-ceiling speakers and the much anticipated Horizon OTO, a powered, ultra-thin, custom soundbar. Leon also displayed a stunning concept in custom audio - the sound sculpture - a dramatic piece of functional art that spans an impressive 9-feet wide. Inspired by the complex form of the trilobite, a signature Paleozoic-era creature exhibiting a hard shell with multiple body segments, the sound sculpture is made up of walnut wood slats at varying heights and curvatures, and features dual stereo channels and programmable LED lighting.
HORIZON OTO: A Powered, Ultra-Thin, Custom Soundbar
Over 10 years ago, Leon's Horizon Series soundbar revolutionized the audiovisual experience by offering an elegant, dynamic speaker solution, handcrafted to match any TV. Debuting at CEDIA is an all-new Horizon - the Horizon OTO soundbar: powered, thin, digital and custom-crafted to perfectly match any display. At the heart of the soundbar is a high-fidelity 2x50W onboard amplifier. Its rear IR jack and front panel IR receiver can tie into any control system, while the front touch panel and remote provide auxiliary control.
At less than 2-inches deep, the HzOTO is purposefully designed for slim TVs. The sleek soundbar pairs 3" aluminum cone woofers with cloth-dome tweeters to offer uncompromising, focused sound reproduction. The rear-ported design allows the speaker to develop impressive bass down to 70Hz, while an internal wireless transmitter will pair with Leon's new wireless subwoofer receiver to easily add any Leon sub to the system.

Leon Speakers Partners with Salamander Designs and ADA at CEDIA EXPO 2013
Leon Speakers and Salamander Designs joined forces to develop a three-channel soundbar and a center-channel speaker designed to fit in Salamander's Synergy and Chameleon TV cabinets.Salamander's new integrated solution elegantly conceals a high performance Leon loudspeaker behind attractive cloth grills within the AV cabinet, eliminating the need for bulky in-room speakers and wiring. In addition to being custom tailored for each cabinet, the integrated speaker solutions also come equipped with sturdy brackets that facilitate up-and-down rotation of the loudspeaker to optimize performance for any room or seating solution. Single-wide cabinet bays accommodate a center channel speaker, while double and triple-wide bays offer an LCR (left-center-right) speaker.
In a quest to create the ultimate cinematic experience, ADA used a Leon 5.2 Reference-Grade Living Space Theater System at their booth. Leon's Horizon Ultima LCR combines the front three channels of the system and is designed to match the width of a 65" Samsung TV. For the rear channels, the system featured a pair of Leon's Profile Series PrUltima speakers. Two of Leon's award-winning ultra-thin Aaros A10-UT subwoofers gracefully filled out the bottom end with exceptionally refined, musical tones capable of handling anything, from the most demanding bass lines to the most gratuitous explosion sequences.
