CEDIA US Expo 2013
Zigen Announces New ZIG-CX-100 HDMI Over Coax Extender Kit with 3D Pass-Through Allowing HDMI Signals to be Extended Over a Single RG-6QUAD Coaxial Cable
Zigen Corp., a leading provider of reliable and versatile HDMI and audio distribution solutions for the Custom Installation industry, announced today that orders for the new ZIG-CX-100 HDMI over coax extender with 3D pass-through are now shipping. An award-winning solution for residential and commercial Audio Video installations, the ZIG-CX-100 enables HDMI with 3D signal to be extended over a single RG-6 quad coaxial cable. Attendees of CEDIA EXPO in Denver, CO September 26-28, 2013 are encouraged to visit booth #3429 to see how ZIG-CX-100 works and to learn more about the Zigen lineup.
Available for immediate delivery, the new Zigen ZIG-CX-100 is a transmitter / receiver extender kit for long distance transmission of HDMI video and embedded audio. The kit comes with built in bi-directional IR and RS-232 control signal pathway that can be passed over the same coaxial cable. It enables 1080p/24Hz with 3D up to 330-ft/100 meters, and is compliant with HDMI 1.4, 3D, HDCP, and DVI – D standards. The ZIG-CX-100 can be used as a point-to-point solution or integrated with matrix switching equipment to extend inputs or outputs to remote locations.
“We developed the ZIG-CX-100 to bring High-Speed HDMI video standards and full feature set - including 3D, bi-directional RS-232 and IR - to infrastructures that utilize coaxial rather than category cables,” said Ed Dellalyan, President of Zigen. “With this new solution, integrators now have a viable alternative for complex jobs involving long distance HDMI video with embedded audio transmission. This is something that’s been needed for some time in commercial installations, older homes with existing coax, and locations with outdoor displays where coax is more durable. As such, not only does it solve problems, it creates opportunities.”
The ZIG-CX-100 is an ideal solution for retrofit work or upgrades where it is impractical or impossible to run new category cables. It works especially well in locations that require multiple displays to show the same HDMI content as it enables up to 250 units to be linked in series to deliver the content to up to 250 displays. The ZIG-CX-100 is priced at $699 MSRP and orders are being accepted now for immediate delivery.
Interested parties are encouraged to visit Zigen during CEDIA EXPO in booth #3429, where the line will be fully showcased.
