Aldous Systems Announces Availability of New GefenPRO 4x4 and 8x8 HDMI Matrices with ELR-POL Outputs and Chance to Win iPad mini (28/2/2013)

The new GefenPRO 4x4 and 8x8 HDMI Matrices come with 4 ELR-POL Outputs and Bi-Directional IR providing the opportunity to route up to four HDMI sources and Bi-Directional IR control to four different locations up to 100 meters away, using HDBaseT® over a single CAT-5e cable.

There are many exceptional features within the matrix to take advantage of; these include Power Over Line (POL) which removes the requirement for any external power supply at the receiving end. The Extra Long Range technology allows for the extension of the HDMI source, up to 100 metres, using a single CAT-5e cable. Additionally, the GUI is web-based, to allow for easy configuration. The matrix also has an advanced EDID Management system, in order to integrate the sources and HD displays extremely efficiently.

The enhanced functionality of the GefenPRO Matrix for HDMI means that it has the capability to be controlled by RS-232 and IP Control as well as IR signals. The matrix also supports 3DTV pass-through and eight channel digital audio formats such as Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD® Master Audio™.

The matrix allows any source to be accessible at any time from any display location. Bi-Directional IR allows each connected source to be controlled from any of the viewing locations, as well as each High Definition display being controlled from the source location.

Don't risk using cheaper systems that only do HDMI over 50/60 metres of Cat5e! It is always difficult to know how long that cable run will need to be; so make sure you give yourself some headroom with HDMI over Cat5e up to 100 metres with a brand you can trust.
