But sound doesn’t always mean good sound. Only with a high-quality amplifier are you guaranteed a clean sound and a musical experience that is truly real. With the Revox Joy, the Swiss audio specialists Revox are showcasing an audio network receiver, which creates the perfect union of the highest sound quality and elegant design. It enables the latest streaming functions as well as the connection of classical audio sources. Both optically and acoustically, the Revox Joy perfectly complements the glass-fronted speakers from the Re:sound G series. The Revox Joy is easily operated through the App for the iPhone and iPad or through a remote control combining wireless communication with infrared.

As a classical streaming product, the Revox Joy uses a wide range of sources: network drives and PCs, all USB storage media such as sticks or MP3 players. And it gives access to over 20,000 radio stations as well as more than 2,000,000 podcasts in the Internet. Needless to say, classical analogue and digital audio devices such as CD or tape players can also be connected. An integrated, high-end amplifier with 2 x 60 watt sinus (S119) or 2 x 120 watt sinus (S120) guarantees a clear, clean sound picture, always. As standard, the sound reproduction of the Revox Joy is matched perfectly to all Revox speakers. Alongside the optimisation of the frequency response, the fine tuning of the bass reproduction, based on the position of the speakers in the room, plays an important role.

The Revox switching concept that strengthens the incoming audio signals before giving them on to the speakers works highly efficiently and allows the creation of such a slender look. As less energy is needed, the power supply and cooling elements can be down-sized with the result that the Revox Joy is just 9 cm high by 20 cm wide and 34 cm deep. Revox remains true to its purist, timeless design language by creating an aluminium housing, just 4 mm thick, with a beautifully lacquered finish, combined with a front panel of pure glass entirely devoid of buttons. This provides the perfect optical complement to the speakers from the Re:sound G series, which are also clad in pure glass. And just like the speakers, the Revox Joy is also obtainable in silver with a black glass front panel or completely in white.
