Peerless-AV Launches Technology Division Focusing on Emerging Solutions for Digital Content Delivery (13/2/2013)

Peerless-AV®, a leading supplier of audio-visual mounting solutions and accessories, announces the formation of the Peerless-AV Technology Division dedicated to advanced digital content delivery solutions for the commercial and residential markets. The new division will focus on the company’s technology portfolio, to cover new areas such as wireless connectivity, wireless broadcast, digital audio and touch products, to provide a comprehensive catalogue of digital content delivery tools for AV dealers, distributors, integrators and installers.

A selection of these new products were shown by Peerless-AV for the first time in Europe at ISE last week, where they elicited a huge amount of interest and positive feedback from the AV professionals in attendance. This included the HD Flow Pro Wireless Multimedia Kit, a device allowing Full HD 1080p video and passive 3D signals to be streamed up to 40m to HDTVs, projectors or other displays without cabling and the PeerAir™ Wireless HD Multimedia System, an HDMI interface-based plug-and-play wireless content streaming system for home entertainment, corporate, education and training applications.

The ability to deliver digital content to new and exciting areas, such as outdoor or mobile applications as well as in listed or high ceiling buildings, where long or complex cable runs previously made installations impractical or expensive, is a key benefit to this new technology. These products are an ideal solution as they are designed to be plug-and-play, requiring no additional software or setup, thereby making any installation quick and simple. The whole world of audio & video is moving toward mobile and wireless solutions and until now the mounting industry has been left behind, making the Peerless-AV products among the most innovative to be launched at this year’s ISE.

The division is equipped with its own engineering, product development, product management, field applications engineering and customer care staff as well as select manufacturing capabilities and testing facilities for all products, setting the stage for major innovations while also ensuring technical support for channel partners.
