CEDIA Reports Success at Italian Education Event (19/10/2012)

CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) is pleased to report great success at a two-day education event for the Italian custom installation sector which took place on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th October 2012 at the Devero Hotel, Milano.

With 53 course sessions booked, and over 30 attendees, this first dedicated education event in Italy built on a growing platform of industry training programmes which are now taking place across Region 1. CEDIA also invested in Italian translators to provide delegates with full value from each training session.

“Specifically designed for the Italian CI market, this residential event offered integrators access to both technical and business training to increase their level of knowledge and skills-base within the custom installation industry”, says Matt Dodd, CEDIA’s Education Chair. “The ability to translate the courses into Italian also helped to build a bridge across any language difficulties.”

Over the two days, delegates were able to take six courses and an EST2 Examination, held for the first time in Italian. The courses included; a Home Cinema Design Workshop, Developing Profitable Business Processes, The Art of Project Documentation, IP for Integrators, Structured Cabling Infrastructures and HDMI Distribution.

On the evening of Wednesday 3rd October, delegates attended a special VIP CEDIA networking event featuring an introduction to CEDIA and offering an insight into what the Association represents.
