AWE Introduces New AV Receivers and Blu-Ray Players from Denon and Marantz (15/10/2012) With AV Receivers and Blu-Ray Players being a vital part in any home cinema installation AWE, the leading CI distributor, has introduced a number of new products from Denon and Marantz, to provide top quality, affordable and reliable solutions for the residential market.
“The AV receiver is a vital component for custom installation and the choice of product is very important,” says Paul Mott, AWE’s Sales Director. “The AV receiver needs to be able to switch both HD video and audio from Blu-Ray players and also deal with compressed audio/video playback from MP3 players or smart devices. The best-selling AV receivers for custom install are those that provide good input connectivity, with an ability to scale video to simplify wiring, switching for additional zones and good control options”. The Denon range has expanded with the introduction of three new AV Receivers – the flagship AVR-4520, AVR-3313 and AVR-2313. All models offer unprecedented network streaming capabilities, 4K upscaling video support, triple HDMI output and Audyssey Multeq XT32 room correction control. The DNLA 1.5 certified receiver supports Apple’s AirPlay, last.fm and Spotify. AirPlay is inbuilt into the receiver, allowing users to stream their iTunes or iDevice content directly to the unit. 3D pass-through is another useful feature, allowing for realistic, immersive surround sound imaging that’s increasingly offered in many 3D movies and video games. Denon’s top of the range DBT-3313UD Universal Disc Transporter is sure to maximise viewing enjoyment for the end-user. Able to read Blu-ray, DVD, SA-CD and CD formats, the unit also supports online video streaming contents such as YouTube or Netflix and is fully 3D capable. The DBT-3313UD also includes the Denon Link HD capability to maximally reduce jitter, ensuring it is the perfect match for the AVR-3313 or AVR-4520, or indeed any other AV receiver that it is coupled to. The player also benefits from a dual HDMI output option so audio and video signals can be sent separately, allowing for truly exceptional sound and picture transmission. Where a dual HDMI output isn’t required, the DBT-1713UD Universal Disc Transporter possesses many of the same fantastic features of its bigger brother, such as support for online video and disc reading versatility - but at a price that won’t break the bank. When a lower level of power is required, AWE recommends the affordable, yet versatile Marantz range of AV Receivers. New to the range, the SR7007, SR6007 and SR5007 provide 125, 110 and 100 watts x 7 of music power respectively into 8 ohms - whilst also possessing 4K video scaling and pass-through capabilities, Apple AirPlay built-in and connection to music services such as last.fm. Disc playback is also catered for by the Marantz family with the superb UD5007 Universal Blu-ray HD Player which is fully 3D capable and able to recognise a huge variety of video and picture files for brilliant versatility. ‘We are enthused to be able to offer a brilliant array of AV receivers and disc transporters from two of the world’s best manufacturers” continues Paul. “The versatility and power of these units ensure that the correct solution can be matched perfectly to the end-users requirements, no matter what the size or scale of project.’
