HDBaseT Alliance Certifies Multiple HDBaseT-Enabled Devices from Atlona, Crestron and Kramer Electronics (24/9/2012)

Increased manufacturer support for certification recognizes the program as an integral step in providing tested and proven HDBaseT devices to the industry

HDBaseT Alliance, the cross-industry alliance formed to standardize HDBaseT® technology for uncompressed, high-definition (HD) multimedia content distribution, today announced member companies Atlona, Crestron and Kramer Electronics have successfully completed Alliance testing and certification for multiple HDBaseT-enabled devices.

This notable addition of certified products reflects the growing industry demand for HDBaseT technology and demonstrates Alliance success in promoting a formal certification framework for the rapidly expanding HDBaseT product ecosystem. The certification of HDBaseT products from leading professional A/V manufacturers—including the above mentioned companies, as well as Gefen and Transformative Engineering within the past year— recognizes the program as a necessary step in bringing compliant, reliable solutions to market.

“The Alliance membership base is engaged and ardently developing HDBaseT products,” said Micha Risling, HDBaseT Alliance marketing chair. “Supported by the growing number of products on the market, HDBaseT is leading the professional A/V space with advances in digital signage and commercial networking. This position sets HDBaseT on a path to expand into consumer electronics, projection and security markets and provide unprecedented ease of connectivity to a variety of multimedia applications.”

The professional A/V market is fully embracing HDBaseT technology and, with the support of its strong membership, the Alliance is delivering on its purpose to redefine A/V connectivity by providing a reliable, industry-vetted standard.
