Stealth Acoustics Debuts All-New Stealth StingRay Environmental Speaker (13/9/2012)

Creating a truly environmental speaker that can take on nature’s toughest elements is no easy task. Nature is persistent and traditional speakers can break down, corrode and eventually fail over time.

Stealth Acoustics has taken on Mother Nature’s challenge and created the world’s first completely sealed high fidelity outdoor speaker: no grills, no exposed drivers... an impenetrable, waterproof, wide-coverage, environmentally durable speaker.

The Stingray™ is based on Stealth Acoustics advanced LRG invisible speaker platform - a direct outgrowth of their acclaimed and award-winning invisible speaker series. Bass response is enabled by a high-power 8” cone driver and high frequencies are produced via a directly-coupled 20 watt neodymium high frequency driver, both firing into a solid and impenetrable glass fiber radiating surface that holds up against even the harshest elements. The StingRay’s™ enclosure is a sealed, weather-resistant, injection-molded enclosure built from marine grade, UV protected ASA plastic. The StingRay™ speaker is so fully protected that it is capable of operating underwater. The Stingray™ can be installed in any marine environment and is the perfect solution for poolside applications. The Stingray™ is also ideal for outdoor surround sound, saunas and spas, patios and decks, sports facilities or ski resorts. In any environment where Nature would overwhelm a traditional speaker, the Stingray™ is right at home.

Retail price of the StingRay™ is $475 each, available in white or black.
