Wyrestorm Signals Evolution to Total AV Solutions Provider with New Product Line-up at CEDIA Expo (3/9/2012)

Following an eventful twelve months since our launch at last year’s CEDIA US, Wyrestorm Technologies is using this September’s exhibition in Indianapolis to re-position its business as a total AV solutions provider with an ambitious collection of new products that firmly focus on creative and cost effective solutions for CI and commercial dealers.

PRO PLUS HDBaseT Lite MATRIX and HDBT Lite EXTENSION

The central component is the new Pro Plus matrix which uses HDBT Lite classification technology and builds on Wyrestorm’s success in the global supply of HDMI Matrix products.

In variations of 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8, Wyrestorm Pro Plus matrices feature duplicate HDMI outputs and offer single cable transmission of uncompressed full 1080p HD video and HD audio controlled by two-way IR, RS232, LAN or RS485 over distances of up to 70m/230ft when using the HDBaseT Lite extender set, with even more options available by connecting via any other Wyrestorm extender method, including full HDBaseT, Coax or Fibre extenders.

ADDITIONAL MODULAR CARD OPTIONS

In addition to these factory-standard Pro Plus models with HDMI and HDBaseT connectivity in regular chassis formats, Wyrestorm will also be showcasing the ultimate in bespoke AV distribution with new Input and Output cards. These modular, multi-format signal boards provide highly customizable and interchangeable solutions within a Pro Plus chassis to suit dealer requirements as well as offering tailor-made AV solutions for the ever more diverse applications of modern installation projects, including audio output and input functionality.

HDMI Input, HDBT Output, but with stereo audio output & optical audio output allowing direct audio connection to external multi-room amplifiers.

Product: PP-TX-030
HDBT Output & Stereo Audio Only Input allowing direct connection of audio only sources, providing digital multi-room audio via single Cat5e/Cat6 up to 210ft and using the stability and reliability of HDBT technology. This card provides an audio only option to any matrix output, transmitting the audio to displays, AV receivers or Wyrestorm’s new HDBT Digital Amplifier.

VGA Input to HDBT Output, providing the essential link with legacy analogue equipment, especially useful for commercial applications.

BOTH RS232 & IP DRIVERS

To assist in the integration process, all new Pro Plus models have pre-written IP drivers for leading control systems commonly used in integrations and are available for download from Wyrestorm’s new website www.wyrestorm.com. Standard RS232 drivers are also available.

HDBaseT Digital Amplifier

A product directly born of our philosophy of industry-leading innovation that adds value to your installations is the Wyrestorm HDBaseT Digital Amplifier. Based on the total common sense application of available technology, Cedia will see us unveil what we believe to be a world first HDBT D-Class Digital Audio amplifier.

This compact and highly versatile device not only uses single cable transmission of full HDMI and control, but also provides centralized or localized hi-fi amplification of your AV and Audio only devices using HDBaseT single cable technology. Additionally, as the product retains conventional speaker outputs, it can also be used in familiar wiring environments.

When combined with a Wyrestorm Matrix, either in-line or at display locations, this device can be cascaded multiple times to deliver simultaneous HDMI and Audio distribution.

Furthermore, as the amplifier has a local HDMI output, it can actually also replace your standard balun receiver, or indeed act as an HDBT repeater to enable the connection of many screens to a single matrix output as well as delivering efficient audio connectivity to conventional speaker products.

Because Wyrestorm ensure total compatibility across our entire product range, the new HDBT digital amplifier can even be used with the EX-1UTP-IR-70/100 extenders, enhancing the dealer extender experience to include hi-fi amplification and add value to any dealer proposal.

WYRESTORM ENADO USER INTERFACE

Enado is Wyrestorm’s new AV user interface (UI) that we feel represents the future of Audio/Video switching and Source Control by offering a perfect combination of intelligent operation and intuitive functionality that is the very epitome of smart control.

Positioned as an AV user interface rather a total control system, the Wyrestorm Enado UI is designed to greatly improve the end-user experience when controlling WS products and connected AV and Audio sources. It is a combined hardware and software solution using a compact 1U 19” controller unit with 16 assignable IR ports and built-in Wifi.

At first glance, Enado appears as any other APP currently available, but in fact the system is an exceptionally flexible bookmarked browser based solution that not only works on all platforms including the full Apple product range, but importantly is just as effective on Android or almost any device with an Internet browser.

The versatility of the Enado UI is further enhanced by providing HD to IP video streaming capabilities on the browser user device together with remote control functions to enhance the end-user experience with instant feedback on the operation of the whole system. In short, it allows you to stream and control all your content anywhere in the world with a wireless network connection.

Additionally, Enado also enables the dealer system access remotely via a secure log-in to check and verify the system performance without actually having to visit the home. A simple extension to this platform is the addition of CCTV functionality and remote monitoring from any Internet enabled device.
