CYP Introduces OR-HD88HC 8x8 Matrix Solution with Simultaneous HDMI and CAT Outputs (2/8/2012)

CYP are proud to announce the latest addition to their extensive range of matrix solutions. The new OR-HD88HC matrix provides added flexibility for installers who work with multi-room AV systems allowing multiple sources to be distributed to up to 16 screens. This latest addition to the range has 8 HDMI inputs and 8 HDMI outputs with 8 simultaneous Twin CAT outputs, which mirror the HDMI outputs from the matrix, thus providing simultaneous connectivity to a possible 16 displays.

The key benefit of such an output configuration is that the Twin CAT outputs can be used to extend the AV signals over longer distances than is usually achievable using HDMI cables alone. Connect a PU-1106RX Twin CAT receiver to any of the Twin CAT outputs of the matrix and extend the HDMI signal, and IR, up to 45m into any multi-room zone.

To achieve even longer signal distances, the HDMI outputs can be connected to any of CYP’s HDBaseT extender kits, allowing the HDMI content, 2-Way IR, and RS-232 to be sent up to 100m via a Single CAT6 cable. Use a CYP Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatible extender set, and there is no requirement to connect the Receiver Unit to a power supply allowing the installer to tuck the receiver unit away behind the connected screens.

The OR-HD88HC matrix supports up to 1080p and 1080p@24fps resolutions, VGA to WUXGA resolutions for PC sources and monitors, along with full 3D resolution support, Deep Colour support, and High Definition Audio. Reliability and compatibility remain at the forefront of CYP’s ethos, and so the addition of an EDID management facility allows for seamless integration into any AV installation.
