IMP Takes Energy Management to the Next Level with Vimar Load Control Module (2/7/2012)

In last month’s edition of Hiddenwires, it was discussed how installers are increasingly becoming “Energy Advisers”.

Each and every project now has an element of energy efficiency incorporated into the design. LED lighting, heat recovery systems, micro-generation, PV, automation and various other products or solutions that can help to reduce energy costs and make living environments more comfortable.

Vimar’s extensive experience and knowledge with European projects has enabled them to design products and solutions that go beyond simple monitoring of energy usage.

There are many solutions that enable monitoring of energy usage. Vimar takes this to a new level by actively controlling up to 8 zones of critical energy use in addition to the Energy display!

The Vimar Load Control Module can be configured to prioritise zones within the project design protecting critical appliances or services. In addition, pre-set thresholds can be programmed ensuring that energy usage never exceeds desired levels.

These features will enable integrators to design a project where the overall power consumption will never go beyond a preset level.

Furthermore, the user interface through the various Touch Screens, smart phones and tablets is designed to be intuitively read and controlled, with a variety of pages to suit each function.

Energy costs will be maintained within a given budget but without loss of luxury or comfort to the client due to the intelligent functionality of the Vimar system.
