Denon Announces its AVR-3313 Integrated Network AV Receiver (22/6/2012)

Denon, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, has unveiled its latest unique home cinema solution, with the all-new premium class £1099.99 AVR-3313 network AV receiver. Following recent introductions of their AV-Art series, Denon has added a true flagship product with an unprecedented design and feature set. AV-Art embodies a whole new product concept with impressive surround sound technologies, which is also strikingly simple to use.

The Denon AVR-3313 7.2-Channel Integrated Network AV Receiver is the heart and brain for today’s home entertainment solutions. With its metal front panel and flip-down door -hiding controls and connections when not in use -it is a high quality addition to any home cinema system. It delivers 165 watts of power across each of its channels •more than enough power for the largest of rooms and the most demanding of speakers. Extensive sound-tuning with carefully selected components and the unique D.D.S.C.-HD audio circuitry create a superior stereo and surround sound for which Denon is renowned. The AVR-3313 also incorporates Denon Link HD, Denon's proprietary jitter-free audio transmission technology. Designed to work with future Universal Blu-ray Players, this extraordinary feature delivers the finest possible sound.

The receiver is fitted with seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs (two parallel for the main room and one independent for a second room) so users can enjoy high-definition audio and video from a variety of HDMI-compatible devices, like set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, game consoles and media players. An HDMI input on the front of the receiver offers a quick, convenient connection for portable devices such as camcorders and HDMI-equipped smartphones and tablets. The advanced video circuitry is capable of upscaling high-definition video to 4K (3840 x 2160 pixel), which provides four times the picture resolution of today’s Full HD (1080p) standard for maximum future-readiness. The AVR-3313 can even be the centerpiece of a multi-zone system, delivering the same or different audio and video in multiple rooms. It supports up to two different video sources and three different audio sources.

Adding even more flexibility and content management, the AVR offers AirPlay music streaming out-of-the-box. AirPlay allows users to unleash their iTunes music libraries from a Mac, PC or their mobile Apple devices. It also features iPod/iPhone Direct Connectivity via USB (which also works with iPad) for quick and simple integration of Apple devices into the home audio system. A nearly unlimited variety of advanced network capabilities includes support for Internet radio or playback of music files stored on a shared hard disk (NAS) or PC.

Based on extensive customer surveys, Denon has made strong efforts to further increase ease-of-use. Operating an AVR has never been easier, thanks to a new Graphical User Interface (GUI), a new Setup Assistant plus the brand new Denon Remote App for iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, simplifying the initial setup and daily operation dramatically. The AVR-3313 comes equipped with Audyssey MultEQ XT technologies to create an immersive, balanced acoustic profile for all individual home theatre systems. Audyssey MultEQ XT technology automatically customizes the home cinema to overcome acoustic problems specific to the listening room, resulting in exceptionally clear sound. MultEQ XT uses high-resolution equalization filters, making it ideal for large or odd-shaped rooms. The receiver incorporates Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume technologies, too, for comfortable and optimal listening of any source at any volume. Discriminating users will appreciate the Audyssey DSX and Audyssey Pro readiness.

As Denon is at the forefront of reducing unnecessary energy consumption, the Standby power has again been reduced significantly. Even further, all new products now feature an Auto Power Off function for additional energy saving, proven by the new Denon eco-logo.

The AVR-3313 will be available in a black and premium silver colour finish from July onwards. It is AV-Art. Created by Denon.
