Crestron Brings Digital Revolution to ISE 2012 (12/12/2011)

Stands 1F2, 1F6 and 1F7, ISE 2012

At ISE 2012 Crestron will be introducing a range of breakthrough technologies that lay the foundation of audio visual technology for the future. The company continues to innovate, engineer and lead the way in research and development and will be displaying many products ranging from the latest developments in the DigitalMedia and HD solutions through to control systems, audio, cabling and lighting control solutions.

A visit to the company’s booth is a must for anyone working in the AV and integration industry - Crestron will be in Hall 1, on Booths F2, F6 and F7 and will be conducting tours, demos and live presentations throughout the show, so for anyone attending ISE 2012, a visit to Crestron is a must!

Highlights on the booth include

Crestron is currently leading the transition from analogue technology to digital, and the DigitalMedia™ range continues to evolve and grow. With a solution for every budget, the new DigitalMedia™ 6X6 Distribution Center delivers high-definition audio and video signals to multiple rooms and produces the highest quality HD picture quality available. The unit features next generation DigitalMedia 8G+ technologies and is able to distribute pure uncompressed digital and analog audio/video content, plus Ethernet, control signals and more over long distances to up to six rooms, all over a single wire.

CAPTURE-HD: This new high-definition lecture capture device is designed for university campuses and corporate enterprises. CAPTURE-HD provides staff and presenters with a simple one-button solution to schedule, record, publish online and view lectures, presentations, medical procedures and seminars.

The DVPHD High-Definition Digital Video Processor is the world's only multi-window video processor that displays high-res computer and high-definition video signals with HDCP, provides a fully-customizable HD graphical environment, and enables real-time annotation and touchpanel control—all in a modular, scalable hardware platform.

CONTROL SYSTEMS & INTERFACES

The new generation MC3, is the first 3-Series™ control system powered by Core 3 OS. The MC3 combines the agility and speed of a computer operating system with the reliability of a network appliance, to enable real-time multitasking that runs up to 10 independent programmes simultaneously. The exclusive IT-based architecture enables integrators to perform system maintenance and expansion in ways never before possible, increasing run-time efficiency and stability. For corporate campuses and universities with dozens, hundreds or thousands of rooms, and organizations with facilities in cities around the world and in different time zones, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades and debugging can be executed quickly, securely and seamlessly.

Integrators can also try out Core 3 UI™ which enables the generation of dynamically rich user interfaces with greater power and efficiency. The new capability comes at a lower cost by cutting programming time by up to 40%. Core 3 UI leverages the power of Adobe® Flash® and other emerging technologies to create a truly dynamic and vibrant touch screen experience.

The latest updates to Crestron Mobile™ and Crestron Mobile Pro® control apps will also be on display. While remaining intuitive and simple to use, the new apps have an improved scope for design, while continuing to deliver an unparalleled user experience. The new Mobile Pro Control App for Android™ turns any Android device into a fully functional Crestron touch screen, allowing owners to control lighting, thermostats, entertainment, security systems and any other connected systems from anywhere, anytime.

AUDIO AND CONFERENCING

The company will be displaying the new line of high-power commercial amplifiers. The AMP Series is designed for energy efficiency, high-end audio performance and versatility in a wide variety of commercial environments. The series offers more than twice the power of other comparative amps. Featuring a high-efficiency amp topology and low noise, low distortion performance, the AMP Series provides more headroom for powering larger rooms in lecture halls, sports bars, restaurants, auditoriums, retail spaces, hotel conference rooms or corporate boardrooms. Channel selectable for either 70V or 100V, any AMP can be used in both US and international environments.

The new FreeSpeech wireless microphone system enables speakers and lecturers to move about the theatre or classroom and be heard clearly from anywhere in the room. FreeSpeech provides a simple, affordable and easy-to-install solution for adding amplified speech audio reinforcement as part of a complete media presentation system.

onCue™ is the latest addition to our affordable line of easy-to-use AV presentation control systems for classrooms. The BPC-8 Basic Presentation Controller provides teachers with an intuitive 8-button keypad for simple one-touch control of classroom presentation systems. Each button provides a recognisable pictured icon for power, volume, projector, screen, computer, and DVD control.

Crestron will also be showing the Excite speakers which have recently been added to its range of multi-room audio delivery solutions. Combined with Crestron’s groundbreaking digital audio-delivery system, Sonnex, Excite speakers can greatly reduce the physical impact of an installation and provide industry leading signal integrity, sound quality and efficient install times too. The EQ profiles of the Excite speakers are already configured in the Sonnex tools so tuning the next room or project can be as simple as loading the appropriate Speaker Profile for each zone.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND LIGHTING CONTROL

Fusion EM™ software is a complete energy management solution for organisations of any size from schools and universities to corporate enterprises. Fusion EM tracks your organisation's carbon footprint while giving you the control to easily change and schedule temperature set points, lighting levels and demand response settings. Fusion EM even saves you energy by automatically turning off lights and reducing HVAC use in unoccupied spaces. The Crestron Fusion platform is a scalable framework which provides the basis on which to monitor and manage lighting, energy, and AV, while providing the tools for remote help desk, room scheduling and asset tracking. Fusion expands upon the established Crestron RoomView® Server Edition (SE) platform by upping the ante with its scalable redundant architecture and multiple front-end components: Fusion RV™ and Fusion EM.

The upgraded Cameo keypads will also be on display. With a strong focus on aesthetics, the new range acknowledges current trends of interior design and integration working as one. The new styles new button configurations, an array of colours and a new, affordable Cameo Express line. Cameo keypads combine contemporary styling with highly customisable system design options that provide great versatility for both lighting and audio distribution for residential and commercial solutions.

Crestron’s CLWI range is a new series of products that make the perfect retrofit lighting control solution and will be on show at ISE 2012. Designed for the European residential market, the range is ideal for electricians and installers looking to make their first move into lighting control installations.

Featuring a range of in-wall dimmers and keypads, the CLWI range is easy to install and offers programming-free set-up to ensure a stress-free installation. When attached to a Crestron network it also functions as a keypad, sending commands to trigger whole-room lighting scenes or distributed audio functions. Supporting up to six buttons, the in-wall dimmer or switch serves as user control interface in any Crestron system. Its single-box form maximises control in a small space while increasing the opportunity for multi-room Crestron control. Also available are aesthetically matched standalone keypads which use Cresnet or infiNET EX™ wireless communications.
