Niko's stand at ISE2010 features its home MediaNetwork. Whether making a phone call, watching television, or surfing the internet: the Niko MediaNetwork connects all these media functions and more throughout your home.

Switching functions is easy, without drilling or channelling work. The Network outlets’ design blends in perfectly with that of other Niko products and the Niko MediaNetwork comes in two versions: either with shielded Cat6 technology or with a combination of coax cabling and an RJ45 network.

Our homes are not as static as they used to be. The children's bedroom of today can be the home office tomorrow. An attic can become a spacious hobby room or guest suite. Today's living arrangements will probably fail to meet the needs of your lifestyle tomorrow as children come - and go - and technology develops, it is rarely obvious to know just now what connections you will need in the future.

Incorporating the Niko MediaNetwork into your home means you no longer have to worry about future changes. Every room will always be equipped with all desired connection points. You can change them instantly, without the nuisance of dusty drilling or channelling work and new applications such as Ethernet or interactive television can be implemented easily.

The central MediaNetwork module is installed in an installation box on DIN-rail near the connection point to the public utility network. This is the connection plate on which the utilities, telephone, TV cable and internet enter the home. From here, a star network of cables goes to all rooms. For each media function, only one connection point is required. Making a phone call, watching television or chatting: you choose what function you want the connection point to fulfil – all without any loss of quality. Moreover, you can switch to another function at any time: simply connect the patch chord for the new application in the central electrical cabinet.

Thanks to Niko’s innovative design, installers can rest assured that they will always be able to install Niko products fast and easily. The connectors are made of one piece with a limited depth and are designed to make it possible to connect the cables from above. With these connectors, there is no need for special tools: they can simply be connected by hand.
