Philips Pronto launches iPort integration module (7/2/2010) ISE 2010 Philips Pronto continues to lead the way in providing seamless 2-way control solutions for its Pronto control panel family with the launch of the new iPort integration module. The co-operation between both companies brings an improved interface experience when using iPort Docks for iPod in conjunction with a Pronto control panel. Both Philips and iPort have worked together to create a full 2-way solution, making an iPod music collection available on the wireless Pronto control panels. “Pronto control panels offer a great solution to control your iPod while enjoying the superior audio quality through the iPort. We are happy to have Philips Pronto as an integration partner.” said Ari Supran, CEO of iPort. “Thanks to the iPort integration module, Pronto users will now be able to access their iPod music throughout the home” adds Dick Mol, Pronto’s Senior Product Manager. “Using ProntoScript technology, the 2-way feedback which iPort offers is being fully exploited leading to another great Pronto user interface.” With the introduction of ProntoScript technology in 2007, Philips delivered full 2-way control applications across its award-winning Pronto control panels. Many leading manufacturers have joined Philips as a partner since this time, exploiting the programming capabilities to deliver easy-to-use 2-way control modules for their 2-way IP- or RS232 controlled components. Showing status information on lighting systems, browsing music and video collections, viewing camera images and checking the latest weather forecasts are just a few of the many applications ProntoScript enables on the Pronto TSU9400, TSU9600 and TSU9800 control panels. The collection of available 2-way modules include solutions for partners such as Aprilaire, HAI, Kaleidescape, Lutron, Russound, Vantage and all major AV receiver brands. All these modules are freely accessible from the Pronto website. The new iPort ProntoScript module is very easy to use by simply dragging it into a Pronto project using the ProntoEditProfessional software. The module is freely available from the Philips Pronto website.
