DMi Launches Escient Zone Drivers for Denon and Marantz AV Products (7/2/2010)

ISE 2010

DMi D&M Installation Europe is launching a complement of Escient Zone drivers for leading Denon and Marantz Universal Blu-Ray disc players, Blu-Ray / DVD players, and AV Receivers at Integrated Systems Europe 2010. The drivers have been written by D&M to seamlessly integrate these products within Escient Zone with fully bi-directional communication over either Ethernet (IP) or serial (RS232) networks.

Escient Zone is a powerful, cost / performance competitive, integrated CI home control system exclusive to D&M Europe. Zone is positioned to provide fully featured, high performance home automation and control at a lower price point than current market leading systems. The new D&M Zone drivers enable DMi appointed CI professionals to offer in-home automation systems, seamlessly incorporating market leading AV components from these D&M’s Denon and Marantz premium brands.

The Zone drivers provide IP network integration for the Denon DBP-4010UDCI Universal Blu-Ray disc player, and Denon AVR-3310, AVR-4310 and AVR-4810 AV receivers, and the Denon TU604CI multi-tuner and POA3012CI multi-amp. Serial network integration is provided for the Denon DBP-4010UDCI, DVD-A1UDCI, Universal Blu-Ray disc players, the DBP-2010CI Blu-Ray / DVD player, Marantz BD7004 and BD8002 Blu-Ray / DVD players, Marantz UD8004 and UD9004 Universal Blu-Ray disc players, and the Denon AVR-AVR-2310, AVR-3310, AVR-4310 and AVR-4810 AV receivers. Zone drivers are also in development for the Marantz AV8003, SR6004 and SR5004 AV receivers.

The new drivers provide 2-way integration with Zone, not only giving control of all major product functions but displaying vital status information for connected AV components.

Bi-directional drivers for all of these products have also been written for integration with Control4 and have been certified by Control4 for use with its platform.
