Habitech launches 5 new major brands and 147 new products (3/6/3009)

Habitech will launch 5 exciting new brands into the CI market at CEDIA EXPO09. In addition many of our existing partners will also be announcing significant new product releases. A brief summary of each is outlined below.

Current Audio: Probably the finest in-ceiling and in-wall speakers in the world will be launched by Current Audio at CEDIA. A new brand name but created by the award winning and inspiring team of Rich Apgar, Ron Maurer and Sean McDermott. In the last 20 years, founder Ron Maurer, has designed custom installation products and high quality speaker systems for some of the industry's finest brands, including Sonance, Speakercraft, Niles, Klipsch, Polk Audio, NHT, SAS. These new speakers represent the pinnacle of years of knowledge and development – and have more patents on the technology they use than any previous speakers. Lowell: Lowell are the No: 1 rack manufacturer in the USA and will be launching their high end rack range into the UK. ACA-Apex Limited: produce innovative networking solutions for the residential and small office market, whose range includes the unique CRIS, Spider Infrastructure system and CMOS product groups.CRIS (Compact Residential Infrastructure System), the unique home cabling system from ACA-Apex Ltd CRIS is designed to integrate phone, computer and TV requirements into a single system. ACA APEX has been designing home networking solutions for years and they understand the limitations and restrictions working in the residential sector of the UK market. Therefore the cabinets are all low profiles and flush mounted. All products are modular to incorporate different sizes of each cabling application, i.e. some clients may wish to have a larger coax aerial system whereas others may wish to incorporate more data cabling. ACA APEX produces solutions that are flexible, aesthetically pleasing and well priced.

Universal Remote Control (URC): is a world leader of high-quality remote controls and home automation products. With more than 20 years of experience, Universal Remote Control produces a family of innovative IR/RF products. URC’s range of multi-function remote controls and whole home controllers enable CIs to provide their clients with the right control at the right price. URC will also be launching the MX-6000 a compelling content management solution for effectively bridging the gap between digital media and the home entertainment system. A viable alternative to the Phillips Pronto, the MX-6000 can fully control, browse and display cover art and metadata from a Windows® Media Center PC, a Windows® Vista™.

Stealth Acoustics: will officially launch in the UK their completely invisible range of speakers. Unlike other competing “plaster over” brands, Stealth uses conventional speaker cone technology to provide the complete frequency range of a normal speaker. This provides the aesthetic benefits clients are looking for without the compromise on acoustic quality or the need to deploy additional sub-woofers to create the illusion of deep bass notes. NuVo Technologies: NuVo’s Multi-room product has established itself in the UK as the “product of choice” becoming the fastest growing brand in the UK and now leading the market with its flexible, affordable whole home audio solutions that provides simple to use, value multi-room packages from 4 to 16 zone systems. To maintain its leadership position NuVo will launch several exciting new technologies and products at CEDIA UK. These include:

Music Port – a product that will allow the streaming of music content into NuVo from wherever it is stored, whether that’s internet radio, on-line music subscriptions’ or from a hard drive on the home network.

Renovia – A complete retro fit whole home audio product that works over powerline and is designed for customer installers.

In addition NuVo will launch its wireless display remote with complete roaming and zone control and full Meta data feedback. This remote can be used in conjunction with in-wall keypads or can control an Essentia or Grand Concerto system entirely by itself.

Finally, NuVo will also launch its new colour touch panel at CEDIA EXPO.

Intelix: Intelix will be launching their complete range of HDMI matrix switchers including the flagship 8x8 HDMI matrix switcher at CEDIA UK.
