SIM2 shows High Dynamic Range Solar series LCD display along with its projector and screen products (3/6/3009) Stand F12, CEDIA UK Expo 2009 SIM2 will be exhibiting the full range of multi award winning products at stand F12. From the superb entry level Domino 60, a single chip 1080p DLP product with motorised lens shift, through to a comprehensive line up of 3 chip products including the new LUMIS range that offer superlative performance, there is a solution available for all requirements. There will be a full multi aspect ratio screen from SmX with acoustically transparent material and hand upholstered black velvet frame. The masking material is also acoustically transparent enabling speaker placement behind the screen. The screen on display is also curved to counter any pincushion effect that may occur when used with an Anamorphic lens system. SIM2 have a full range of anamorphic solutions for the full Cinemascope 2.35:1 experience, including bespoke mounting systems and brackets as well as the best lenses from ISCO and Panamorph. Also on the stand will be the exciting new HDR (High Dynamic Range) Solar series LCD display with LED backlighting. It boasts 16 bit colour, and an infinite contrast ratio for a genuinely stunning picture.
About the Solar Series The Solar Series display is able to handle 16-bit processing for HDR signals, producing an astounding 65,536 shades per color, smashing the number of colors (1,024) shown by the most advanced current displays. The new display renders smooth images that jump from the screen-the result is simply amazing compared to conventional displays. The core of the system, the Back Light Unit (BLU) and Dolby Vision processing, enables the display to deliver astonishing picture quality, while maintaining the overall power efficiency of the system. What's more, SIM2's HD scaling and de-interlacing capabilities maintain purity under actual content-playback conditions, and do much to enhance the perceived quality of lesser formats.
