Chief Introduces Thinnest Universal Tilt Wall Mount (1/12/2008) The latest addition to the Thinstall(tm) Mount Series is Chief's LTTU(tm) Universal Tilt Wall Mount that collapses to only 0.75" deep. Chief Manufacturing, the industry leader in projector, monitor and flat panel TV mounting solutions, as well as progressive online tools, is excited to announce the release of the WORLD'S THINNEST flat panel tilt wall mount. The Thinstall(tm) Series LTTU(tm) Universal Tilt Wall Mount collapses to 0.75" (19 mm) to maintain the extreme low profile of ultra-thin flat panel TVs while offering 12º of smooth, fingertip tilt and supporting up to 100 lbs (45.4 kg).
With this year's ultra-thin flat panel TV revolution, it is important to have a mount that is just as thin and does not add bulk to the installation. Chief developed the Thinstall Series specifically for ultra-thin TVs to create a seamless and clean installation while still providing essential end-user and installer-friendly features. The Thinstall Universal Tilt Wall Mount consists of a unique, one-piece bracket and two tilting interfaces that provide 12º of tilt to achieve the ideal viewing angle. Each interface is equipped with a sliding flag to secure the interface to the wall bracket, and a cable stand and bottom pullout for cable access. The mount remains latched all of the time, regardless of whether the screen is tilted or using the bottom pullout feature. The mount is compatible with 16" on-center stud systems. To create added space behind Chief's Thinstall mounts, add an In-Wall Box Accessory (Model: PAC520) to the installation. The In-Wall Accessory simplifies plasma TV installation by providing an organized, recessed space for routing excess cables and attaching surge protectors/power conditioners. The LTTU fits hole patterns up to 800 x 500 mm. Chief also offers the MTTU(tm) Universal Tilt Wall Mount that fits hole patterns up to 600 x 400 mm. The new universal tilt wall mounts should be used with screens 2" deep or less. The mounts will begin shipping December 2008. Chief also offers a Thinstall(tm) Universal Fixed Mount that is less than 0.4" deep.
