T+A makes E-Series of audio components available in the UK (15/10/2008) German manufacturer T+A has geared up to attack the mid priced market with some high technology, true audiophile products. With a 500 Watt digital hybrid amp, hi-end CD player and Music Player, the latter of which is able to operate as a high quality pre-amp and incorporates a new, T+A developed CD mechanism and is fully capable of streaming data in audiophile quality from your storage device, Wi-Fi router, i-Pod etc and connecting wirelessly or via ethernet. The 'E Series' has been designed as a no-compromise solution to the playback of multiple sources and retains a level of attention to detail and build quality that has become the trademark of this greatly respected brand. CD PLAYER - E series - RRP £1499.00 The E-series CD player has been designed with the future solely in mind and with the overview of making a true thoroughbred CD player at a market-beating price. In the True T+A tradition the E-series CD player employs the completely new high-end loader and disc mech. seen in the 1250R, The decoder is a completely new development also utilising the very latest processors, and its specifically designed to provide the most elevated quality CD reproduction. Highly selected Burr Brown converters carry out the D/A conversion; these are also employed in the SACD 1250R, and are widely acknowledged as the best available. With its precision jitter free oscillator, high-quality audio output with two different, switchable bandwidths, the high-end performance mains selections ensure outstanding results in terms of true sound quality. Specifications: MUSIC PLAYER - E series - RRP £1999.00 The Music Player is in essence a high-quality audiofile CD player that has been expanded to provide supplementary capabilities, with the result being that it can exploit other digital sources as a streaming client. For this purpose T+A has developed a network capable processor board that includes W-Lan, Lan, UPNP, USB and iPod interfaces. This results in the Music Player being able to access anything that delivers music: internet radio, network music severs and USB media storage devices including iPod (plus iPod menu systems), again the D/A conversion is carried out with the same Burr Brown converters seen in the e-series CD player. Specifications: AMP - E series - RRP £1499.00 The AMP has been developed in the true traditions of the legendary T+A transistor and valve output stages, with the emphasis on optimum sound characteristics, neutrality and ultra-wide dynamic range. As you would expect, it features a two-stage volume control with ALPS precision potentiometer, which provides a high overload margin and wide signal: noise ratios. The output stages are completely new, and represent a further development of the superb power amp used in the high-end TCI active loudspeakers. They take the form of a switch-mode output stages generating the output signal as a large number of very short positive and negative signals. The new switch-board output stage is a unique T+A development equipped with the very latest, ultra fast MOSFET transistors and high power intelligent driver modules. The result is a highly controlled harmonious sound image, which never tends towards harshness, with well defined and control Bass making a product which hearing is believing.
