Comm-Tec Introduces Standard Infrared Control for Electric Master Projection Screens (18/7/2008)

Ease of installation and ease of operation are two big benefits for the installer and the user respectively. These advantages are now combined, at no additional cost, with the new versions of the ElectricMaster projection screens from Comm-Tec.

Having the remote control facility as standard, means that the user can control the descent and raising of the screen from the comfort of their boardroom seat, armchair or similar. This can be actioned either using the standard handheld control unit, supplied as standard, or by having the screen connected via the infrared signal to an integrated control system. An additional wired IR receiver is included for installations where the screen housing is positioned out of the line of sight of the IR remote.

Because the switch does not have to be cabled or connected, installation is both quicker and easier. A mains supply feed is simply connected directly to the screen and so does not require the use of a qualified electrician.

The ElectricMaster screen from Comm-Tec also has the benefit of the 'click-mounting' system. This allows the brackets on which the screen is hung, from either the wall or ceiling, to be positioned anywhere along the length of the cassette. As a result, fixing points already in the wall or ceiling can be utilised. Also, the screen can be re-positioned, side-to-side, after the projector has been mounted.

ElectricMaster screens are equipped with a very quiet synchromotor and adjustable limit switches for presetting the descent of the screen, both upper and lower end. Available in square, video and now HDTV widescreen formats, the upgraded, at no extra cost, ElectricMaster screens join the Comm-Tec range that also includes manual, tripod and frame screens.
