Crestron showcases innovative technology at CEDIA Expo 2008 (14/5/2008) Stand B8, CEDIA Europe Expo 2008 Crestron, the leading manufacturer of advanced control and automation systems, will be bringing a new level of wireless versatility to CEDIA Expo 2008 as it unveils its latest innovation in touchpanel design and control technology, for the very first time in the UK. This exciting addition to the Crestron product range will be showcased exclusively on stand B8, alongside the ever-popular TPMC-8X WiFi touchpanel and the TPS 4L. Crestron's lighting control solutions for the European market will also be featured on the stand, along with the company's European CAMEO Keypads and the award-winning Adanto AMS-AIP. HIGHLIGHTS WILL INCLUDE: With its stylish and compact design the TPMC-8X WiFi touchpanel allows users to control all systems, including lighting, heating, security, blinds/curtains and much more, all at the touch of a button. Users are also able to surf the internet, stream digital media, email and carry out other PC-based tasks all from this one wireless device. It communicates via 802.11a/b/g and integrates a host of technologies including Windows XP operating system and PC applications, biometric fingerprint scanner, NetMeeting(r), Skype(tm), Bluetooth(r) and more. Visitors to the stand will find out about the TPS-4L wall mount touchpanel which delivers amazing performance in a compact, cost-effective flush mount design. The new high-contrast, ultra bright screen is easily viewable at almost any angle, even in daylight. The Isys engine produces astonishing full-colour graphics with lightening-fast performance and incredible versatility. High-speed Ethernet communication provides easy network integration and seamless communications with Crestron home automation solutions. Lighting Control from Crestron will also be part of the CEDIA Expo stand. The integration of lighting control with audio visual, security, and building management systems is now easier thanks to the launch of Crestron's new series of European lighting control products - the iLux, CAEN and CLXI range. Crestron lighting systems are programmable using Crestron's award-winning software tools and complete control of the lighting solutions is made effortless by using Crestron keypads and touchpanels. Also on show will be the award-winning AMS-AIP. Able to scale video input signals to match the resolution of a high-definition display, it can also support output resolutions up to 1080p with a choice of component, HDMI, DVI, or RGB connectivity. It can also display multiple screens of varying and scalable sizes allows the AMS-AIP to create the ultimate "picture-in-picture" function. As well as allowing the viewer to display, for example, security camera feeds, it can also display a touchpanel layout. This added functionality allows advanced control of lighting control, HVAC and security devices from a basic remote control device. Featuring Gennum's Visual Excellence Processing(tm) with TruMotionHD(tm) fully adaptive deinterlacing, the AMS-AIP achieves exceptional image sharpness and resolution from both SDTV and HDTV sources. All Adanto models offer the same plug-and-play connectivity and out-of-the-box functionality that makes Adanto the easiest home entertainment system to install and the most versatile to expand. Another highlight will be the company's European CAMEO Keypads, featuring exceptionally responsive user control and a dynamic new design. Combining powerful control and modern elegance, the new CAMEO design features new finishes, rounded buttons with enhanced tactile action, and high-quality backlit laser-engraving for easy-to-read text under any lighting condition. A built-in light sensor controls the backlight intensity automatically to achieve a crisp, legible appearance in both darkened and fully lit rooms. Crestron continues to develop innovative solutions to deliver both energy savings and a virtually seamless user experience.
