Structured Cable Products, Inc. announces the opening of a new European Distribution Center (29/2/2008)

Structured Cable Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of low voltage cables and accessories, is pleased to announce the establishment of a European Distribution Center (EDC) in Moerdijk, Netherlands through our logistics partnership with D.S.V. Solutions B.V. ("DSV").

DSV is a leading global provider of transport and logistics services. By leveraging DSV's global presence and logistics experience, Structured Cable Products is able to:

• Improve delivery times to our EU customers, • Reduce transportation costs to Europe, • Maintain one customs clearing center, and • Provide a higher level of service to our EU customers.

"Throughout 2007 we have seen a growing demand for our products in the European marketplace. Our new EDC will allow us to serve our EU customers faster and more efficiently," said David Spiller, President of Structured Cable Products. "It was important for us to find a third-party logistics company that reflects our commitment to customer service. We are very pleased with our selection of DSV Solutions. They have a world-class warehouse facility in Moerdijk and its strategic location allows us to get our products out to our customers very quickly."

Structured Cable Products' Moerdijk distribution center will act as the primary distribution hub to support its sales activities in the European marketplace.

Once Structured Cable Products made the decision to establish an EDC, we were assisted by the Holland International Distribution Council (HIDC) and The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) to help select the ideal location in the Netherlands and identify the best logistics partner to manage our supply chain activities at this facility.

"The people at NFIA and HIDC were very helpful in providing unbiased guidance and assistance during our logistics provider selection process," said Andrew Restivo, project manager, Structured Cable Products. "After narrowing down the final group of logistics companies we were considering, HIDC arranged a 'fact finding trip' in the Netherlands so we could meet each of the finalists. The people and facilities at DSV were exactly what we were looking for. I estimate that we saved over 6 months of fact finding by using the services of HIDC and NFIA."
