NaimNet to Deliver Single, Quadruple and Quadruple RS232 DAB/FM Tuners (22/2/2008)

NaimNet has a tuner solution for any size or scale of installation. There are two tuners for the NaimNet / StreamNet TM streaming environments and one multiple tuner for RS232 controlled systems.

NNT01

The NaimNet NNT01 is a highly convenient combination of four totally independent DAB/FM tuners in a single compact case. Primarily intended as a multiple streaming source, which can be played and controlled by an unlimited number of NaimNet or StreamNet Connected room amplifiers, the NNT01 tuner also has four analogue outputs for additional distribution or local play.

The NNT01 is a multiple streaming device within NaimNet, and requires only a single Ethernet connection. Further NNT01 tuners can be added to a NaimNet system without limit. The NNT01 is fully StreamNet Connected giving, not only, multiple very highquality radio sources, but also a simplicity of user control and cost effectiveness not possible in any other way.

A single antenna connection drives all four tuners. There is an amplified 'pass-through' connection for further tuners or other receiving equipment.

The NNT01 can be located wherever convenient: there is no requirement for either enduser or installer intervention once connections have been made, as all configuration is within NaimNet Dealer Setup, User GUI, or alternatively by RS232. The end user is provided with a simple car radio style setup interface on the control touchscreens eliminating any dependence on the installer for ongoing maintenance.

Full user-control of each individual tuner is provided by the internal web server, which appears on the control touchscreen. Four users can access the tuners independently, and select stations. All Metadata, or RDS in the case of FM, presents in the familiar NaimNet format on the control touchscreen or other control device such as a networked PC or PDA.

NNT02

The NaimNet NNT02 is a single DAB/FM tuner in a compact case. It is a single streaming radio source, which can be played and controlled by an unlimited number of NaimNet or StreamNet connected room amplifiers.

There is no analogue output: the NNT02 is purely a StreamNet Connected streaming source with a single Ethernet connection. Further NNT02 tuners can be added into a NaimNet system, as required, without limit.

A single antenna connection with an amplified 'pass-through' connection for further tuners or other receivers saves the complications of adding further aerial splitters.

NNT01

RS232 The NNT01 RS232 tuner is a similar specification to the NNT01 but designed for RS232 control only. All received Metadata and RDS data is available on the RS232 interface. Crestron (r) and AMX (r) modules are available to simplify display of this rich interface to the end-user. The modules can be downloaded from the NaimNet website.
