NAD premiers VISO FIVE DVD/CD Surround Sound Receiver and C355 Integrated Amplifier at Bristol Sound & Vision (21/2/2008) Exclusive First-Time UK Launches of VISIO FIVE DVD/CD Surround Sound Receiver and C355 Integrated Amplifier NAD will be giving the exclusive first UK showings to two outstanding new offerings for 2008 at this year's Bristol Show. Exhibiting in the Rome 3 Suite on the Ground Floor, NAD unveils its gorgeous VISO FIVE DVD/CD Surround Sound Receiver and its impressive C355 Integrated Amplifier. This will be the first time either product has been shown to the UK press and consumers. NAD's new VISO FIVE delivers the uncompromising performance associated with NAD's acclaimed full-size separate components in an elegant, compact design created to complement today's advanced video displays. Its graceful proportions and fine details combine a DVD/CD Player and Digital Surround Sound Receiver in a single sophisticated package requiring only the addition of a TV monitor and surround sound speakers to bring cinema quality sound and video to any room in a home, or to a dedicated Home Cinema. The sensitive FM/AM tuner includes a 30-station preset memory, which allows listeners to save their favourites for fast, easy recall, and RDS capability, which shows information about all broadcasts from RDS-compliant channels, including station IDs and song and artist information. An XM Ready input allows an XM Satellite module to be easily connected for XM Radio reception, and a rear-panel Data Port accepts NAD's optional new IPD-1 Dock for connecting an iPod(r). Moreover, the VISO FIVE is DAB ready for use with the optional NAD DB 1 Digital Audio Broadcast tuner module The C355 builds on the strengths of NAD's highly acclaimed C352 Stereo Integrated Amplifier, which, among other honours, was named 2004 Amplifier of the Year by What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision, and on several refinements taken directly from NAD's acclaimed Masters Series M3 Dual Mono Integrated Amplifier. These include application of the patented Distortion Cancelling Circuit in the C355's output stage, and the BEE Clamp in the power supply, two innovations by Bjorn Erik Edvardsen, NAD's Director of Advanced Development. The C355 also includes an improved tone control circuit and a PCB layout revised to reduce distortion and noise to unprecedented levels. Both new products will be available for listening and viewing and there will be NAD experts on hand to give any further information. The VISO FIVE DVD/CD Surround Sound Receiver is expected to be available from specialist NAD retailers in late February at an anticipated suggested basic price from around £900.00 including VAT. The optional NAD DB 1 Digital Audio Broadcast tuner module will retail separately at around £120.00. The NAD C355 Stereo Integrated Amplifier is expected to be available from specialist NAD retailers in March 2008 at a suggested recommended retail price of £400.00.
