SIB 2008 international leader for show business and entertainment includes System Integration sector (21/2/2008) Rimini (Italy) from 5th to 8th April 2008 will host the 21st International Exhibition of Show Business, Installation and Broadcast Technology, organised with the patronage of TEN and SILB. This edition presents an extended and innovative concept which is already meeting with outstanding success among Italian and foreign companies. In 2008 edition the biennial expo confirms its role as the international reference point for audio, lighting and video technology for the show business world and entertainment in general. Visitors at SIB 2008 include: Audio, Audio-Video, Lighting and Full Service rental firms, Installers/Technical managers/Electricians, System Integrators, Architects, Audio and Lighting designers, Engineers, Construction Firms, Furnishers/Interior decorators/Fitters, System & equipment reseller, importers, distributors, agents, international buyers, theatrical companies, scenographers, directors, directors of photography, production manager, organisers of conferences and artistic, show events, owners of public venues, DJs, VJs, art directors, PRs, artists and trade associations. A NEW CONCEPT FOR NEW MARKET SCENARIOS SIB 2008 has been renewed, featuring a new selection dedicated to Installation and System Integration and opening up to new markets. Technical markets are increasingly overlapping. The closest sectors (Retail, Cruising, Large Projects, the Trade Fair/Museum Sector, Corporate and Digital Signage), even if different from that of entertainment, are using integrated systems and know-how from companies specialised in the show business. Space will be thus dedicated to the technology and culture of system integration and to all the equipment with a high technological content. The SIB 2008 expo layout, which will cover 45,000 sq.m., has been reorganised into three main thematic sectors: Show Business, Installation Technology and Sib Sound & Show. On show audio, light, laser and LED technology, video furnishing, furnishing and equipment for new entertainment venues, special effects, theatre equipment, live show and cinema, equipment and services for commercial and promotional events, system integration, broadcast & webcast, media and associations. The Show Business sector dedicated to Lighting Theatre and Broadcast will feature technologies and specific solutions connected with entertainment and architectural lighting, LED technology, and its important evolution and applications. Moreover, at the expo all the technologies for theatre - with the participation of the sector's most representative companies, the most important theatrical academies and cultural institutions - television and film studios will be present. In the Installation Technology sector dedicated to the Audio/Video, System Integration and Broadcast the most innovative audio technology and video technology (LED screens, video projectors, fat screens and all the latest in the large-format display and projection field) will be presented. On show also the automation for the integrated control of electrical, heating and air conditioning, telephone, IT and safety systems, cable technology dedicated to entertainment and remote monitoring (for both building and home applications) and technologies, specific technology, material and structures for organisers of conference and expo events. Finally, specific technology, material and structures for organisers of conferences and expo events, technology, dˇcor and furnishings, design proposals for new types of trendsetting venues will be presented in the expo section dedicated to Congress and new Entertainment. It is a wide range of products showing the new design trends for trendy bars and places. SIB 2006 has confirmed its success among the most important Trade Fairs of the sectors by reaching 63,585 visitors, of whom 8,950 from foreign countries and 500 exhibitors. The area occupied a space of 44,000 sq.m.
