Niko shows new access control products (5/2/2008) Integrated Systems Europe 2008 Distributed exclusively in the UK by leading custom installation distributor, USD Limited, Niko, the Belgian market-leading control company, unveiled a number of new models that extends its full range of access control products at the Integrated Systems Europe 2008 show in Amsterdam. Niko range of internal and external units for access control is even more comprehensive now, with all models delivering superb performance, easy installation and optional extensions that allow for impressive flexibility in configuring access systems. The new products unveiled at ISE included a code keyboard door telephone and a stunning enamel coated, silver-coloured internal telephone unit. New enamel coated monitors have either colour or black-and-white displays; and were also introduced to extend to the company's range of videophones. Another recent addition to the range is a large mailbox system that allows the installer to create a panel with bell push buttons as fully integrated part of the access system. These units even come complete with a loudspeaker and a microphone, extension modules and camera. The Niko access control range is one of the most impressive on the market. It includes a range of very useful features - that make them extremely impact- resistant - and provides a high degree of weather-resistance. They are fabricated in aluminium with a thickness of 4 to 7mm; the external units are extremely compact (a protrusion height of merely 3mm and a surface mounting height of 16 to 20mm). All of these external units are available with either a black-and-white or colour camera. As with all Niko products, they are easily programmable and can be easily integrated into a comprehensive home automation system.
