Get the bigger picture with SIM2 at ISE 2008 (24/1/2008) Stand N34, Integrated Systems Europe 2008 An unprecedented collection of outstanding new products will be showcased on the SIM2 stand (N34, Hall 4) at Integrated Systems Europe 2008, which takes place between the 29th and 31st January 2008 in Amsterdam. The Italian brand is synonymous with exceptional performance allied to great style and the new designs perfectly fit such an exalted billing. C3X 1080 with motorised anamorphic lens Equally impressive images can be found from the SIM2 Grand Cinema C3X 1080 - the world's smallest, lightest and most competitively priced full High Definition, 3-chip DLP projector. In the best SIM2 tradition, the 40cm-square, 10kg, C3X 1080 is housed in a stunning, high-gloss sculpted cabinet by renowned industrial designer Giorgio Revoldini, replete with the company's trademark, flowing lines. Although diminutive in size, the C3X 1080 conceals truly powerful abilities and a great deal of technology. The projector is based on a trio of the latest DarkChip 4 1080p DLP(r) chipsets from Texas Instruments. The three-chip SIM2 design further exploits improved all-glass optics in SIM2's proprietary ALPHAPATH(tm) light engine to form a system able to deliver full-HD, 1920x1080 progressive video of stunning clarity and definition. This will be used in tandem with a motorised ISCO Precision Optics anamorphic video attachment. This device sits in front of the projector and reshapes the image. So you can watch movies in true CinemaScope (2.35:1), Widescreen (16:9) or standard TV (4:3). But as the image is optically decompressed, rather than electronically, there is no light or quality loss from the projector. HT3000E HOST system Also on display will be the new Grand Cinema HT3000E HOST system, a modular package that pairs the company's renowned Full HD DLP projector with an off-board processor via a proprietary optical-digital High-Definition Optical Signal Transfer (H.O.S.T.) system. This allows a consumer or installer to connect a large number of source components to the projector, yet enables their placement to be up to a quarter of a kilometer from the HT3000, thanks to the use of a single small diameter fiber-optic cable. The SIM2 system's HOST processor is a separate, compact component (approx. 14 x 4 x 12-inches) designed for flexible placement, thanks to SIM2's H.O.S.T. three-line digital fiber-optical connection, which empowers A/V installers to locate it up to an astonishing 250m from the projector. This capability creates an entire range of previously unavailable installation options and most important, eliminates the usual signal losses associated with long cable runs. Professional solutions Those seeking professional solutions should check out the PRO5000 projection system has been designed to meet the requirements of the E-Cinema market, offering a high quality product that aims to support the increased interest of theatre owners to display alternative contents. Incorporating the latest generation of 3-chip DLP(r) technology SIM2's 1080p PRO5000 projection system provides images of exceptional brightness, resolution, colour depth. And the new SIM2 EASYCINEMA Software provides a perfect colour calibration order to set performances at the highest possible level. Installation flexibility is ensured with a wide range of projection lenses. The high quality lenses with high-resolution optics are with both motorized zoom and focus adjustments and motorized horizontal/vertical shift. Finally, the stand will be completed by SIM2's rear-projection display modules, in the form of the SDV84 CU301HBD with its 84-inch diagonal screen. Ideal for control rooms, briefing rooms, surveillance messaging information points, this design delivers unsurpassed image quality for a crystal clarity display and comes with an advanced dual-lamp system for ultimate reliability. For display operations, these modules can easily be connected to an external image controller for multiple input window managing. Moreover, the internal image processing and resizing capabilities of the SDV series can be effectively exploited in smaller applications, thanks to the number of different analogue and digital connections. The SDV84 module has been designed with particular attention in minimizing maintenance operations. From the rear service panel, service engineers and installation technicians can easily access the rear-projection engine, lamp, electronics optics and first surface glass mirror in a few minutes, hence keeping the maintenance downtime at minimum.
