Epson unveils ground-breaking projector technologies (24/1/2008)

Stand Q63, Integrated Systems Europe 2008

Leading projector manufacturer* Epson is set to showcase four new projectors at ISE 2008, the number one show for professional audio-visual and electronics system integrators. Visitors to the Epson stand will be able to see projectors demonstrated in a variety of 'real' viewing environments and applications, from business to home entertainment. Epson's new and improved EasyMP over-network projector control functionality will also be demonstrated, allowing users to experience the enhanced remote projector management capability.

Philip Oldham, Business Manager at Epson Europe commented, "This is the third consecutive year that Epson has exhibited at the ISE fair. As the worldwide leading manufacturer of projectors, Epson has a fantastic range of new products to showcase, some of which are being revealed to the public for the very first time. We are particularly excited about demonstrating our improved Epson EasyMP technology, which is featured on a number of our new projectors and enables enhanced remote, over-network projector control."

The Epson exhibition stand has been split into three different areas to recreate life-like environments in which to demonstrate projectors in business, education and home cinema settings.

Products on display include the EMP-400W, an ultra-short throw projector that is able to deliver a clear and sharp focussed 60 inch picture at just 65cm from the projection surface, eliminating shadows that can be caused by presenters standing between the projection unit and the screen. This makes the Epson EMP-400W ideal for use within the office environment, or in an educational context (EMP-400We) with an interactive whiteboard.

In the home entertainment section there will be an opportunity to experience the new EMP-TW2000, which will be integrated with a state-of-the-art home cinema system to display movies in full high-definition, with a market-leading 50,000:1 contrast ratio. The ability of the Epson TWD10 home entertainment centre to enhance gaming experience will also be on show. The all-in-one DVD player and projector unit, which can be used in conjunction with games consoles, MP3 players and USB storage devices, can produce up to a 300-inch high-definition image even on painted white walls, making it ideal for home and family entertainment.

Oldham continued, "This is the largest presence Epson has ever had at ISE and given our exciting range of new products, we expect it to be our most successful year too."

ISE runs from January 29 to 31 at the RAI in Amsterdam. The Epson booth will be situated on stand Q63 in hall 4.
