RBH Sound Previews New SX Series Speaker Line-Up (14/1/2008) Stand K87, Integrated Systems Europe 2008 RBH Sound, a leading manufacturer of high performance home audio products, today announced the introduction of their new SX series of speakers. The audio video industry's first look at this new speaker series will take place at the upcoming 2008 Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show January 29-31, 2008 in Amsterdam.
"RBH Sound's new SX series high performance speakers will be launched in its entirety later this year," said Daren Egan, RBH Sound's Marketing Director. "This series will include matching tower, center and surround speakers in both 4-inch and 6-inch driver sizes. Rounding out the new SX series will be a new subwoofer designed to match the SX system both sonically and cosmetically." The SX speaker making its debut in the ISE Home Cinema booth K87 at the 2008 ISE show is the SX4T tower speaker. The SX4T, as well as the rest of the SX series of speakers, is a major departure from the current look and feel of RBH Sound's floor-standing speakers. The SX4T features a swept back, tear-dropped shape cabinet, which rests on a high gloss black base. With a 1-inch silk dome tweeter, a 4-inch aluminum midrange driver, four 4-inch aluminum woofers and a 3-inch front-firing port, the SX4T delivers true-to-life sound for both two channel and home theater applications. The SX4T, available in Cherry, Rosewood and Black Ebony, will complement any room dˇcor. Gary Tanner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for RBH Sound had this to say regarding the SX Series: "We have high expectations for the SX speaker series. This series will not only add to our successful, award-winning lines of freestanding speakers sold in the United States, but also gives us a stronger offering for our international partners." The SX4T can handle 250 Watts, has a frequency response of 35Hz-20kHz, measures 41-3/4 inches high x 8-3/8 inches wide x 13-3/4 inches deep and weighs 40 pounds each. The SX4T has a suggested retail of $3,098 per pair and is expected to ship this Summer.
