Crestron adds AMS-AIP to Adanto Media System range (3/1/2008)

Crestron has added the AMS-AIP to its expanding AMS (Adanto Media System) range of products. This new model adds video scaling (up to 1080p) to the sophisticated surround sound and video processing of the AMS range. Ideal for home cinema or whole house audio distribution, the AMS-AIP delivers cost-effectiveness and high-performance in one elegant and cost-effective package.

The AMS-AIP scales video input signals to match the resolution of a high-definition display, supporting output resolutions up to 1080p with a choice of component, HDMI, DVI, or RGB connectivity. The ability to display multiple screens of varying and scalable sizes allows the AMS-AIP to create the ultimate "picture-in-picture" function. As well as allowing the viewer to display, for example, security camera feeds, it can also display a touchpanel layout. This added functionality allows advanced control of lighting control, HVAC and security devices from a basic remote control device. Featuring Gennum's Visual Excellence Processing(tm) with TruMotionHD(tm) fully adaptive deinterlacing, the AMS-AIP achieves exceptional image sharpness and resolution from both SDTV and HDTV sources.

The AMS-AIP is the latest addition to the groundbreaking Adanto product range which combines of-the-box functionality, plug-and-play connectivity, with seamless expandability into the rest of the Crestron family of products. Alongside the video scaling benefits, the AMS-AIP features built-in tuners, amplifier, multi-room processors, Crestron 2-Series control system, e-Control web browser, Ethernet connectivity and front panel control.

The built-in surround sound processor and powerful 100w 7-channel amplifier is designed to drive any 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 theatre speaker system. DTS 96/24 decoding achieves superlative sound quality from the latest generation of DVD titles. Audyssey MultEQ equalisation corrects time and frequency response problems, effectively removing sound distortion at every listening position, to create the optimum listening experience.The AMS front panel with backlit LCD display provides simple user-interface for system set-up, or to control a home theatre or distributed whole house AV system. Plug-and-play connectivity with Crestron 12-button keypads or the advanced APAD Wall Mount LCD Controller enables versatile control of the AMS in every room.
