Gefen's New Extension Systems Support Long-Distance HDTV Performance (28/12/2007)

When high definition video needs to travel beyond a few meters to its remote destination, Gefen offers a selection of HDTV extenders. Based on the signal distance from source to display, users have the option of selecting either fiber optics or category-5 cables that work with Gefen's sender/receiver system to deliver high definition resolutions to 1080p with multi-channel digital audio.

HDMI CAT-5 MS Extender

This next generation sender/receiver system enables a reliable delivery of high definition audio/video signals up to 100 meters over category-5 cables. Complete HDMI and HDCP compliance is built into the unit along with a robust MS technology that enables high definition resolutions up to 1080p along with multi-channel digital audio to be delivered with no delay.

HD-1000 for HDMI v1.3This enhanced extension system for HDMI v.13 formats delivers video and multi-channel audio up to 100 meters from the source to the display, and is compatible with all disk players, satellite set top boxes and displays that use HDMI. High definition resolutions are supported up to 1080p with complete HDCP and HDMI v1.3 compliance to ensure a flawless remote performance.
