D-Tools System Integrator SI5 Available Now (17/12/2007)

Stand F09, Integrated Systems Europe 2008

Latest upgrade of award-winning software makes it easier than ever to estimate, design, and manage the integration and installation of low voltage systems

D-Tools, Inc., the worldwide leader in system integration software, recently announced the release of the latest upgrade of its award-winning System Integrator software, SI5. The SI 5.1 upgrade is immediately available for download to current users.

"Weâre extremely pleased to release these enhancements and new features in SI5," said Adam Stone, President and CEO of D-Tools. "We value our customersâ feedback and feature requests, and our development team works extremely hard to incorporate those requests in our future releases. We approach every release of our software with the primary goal being 100% customer satisfaction."

New features and enhancements in SI 5 include:

EZ Match Data Import
Import data from a price book or a bill of materials and merge with your existing data. Our EZ Match automation will match products from your import file and your product database based on manufacturer and model values, making data import quick and easy.

QuickBooks 2008 US Compatibility
LinkTools for QuickBooks now works with QuickBooks 2008 US (desktop)

AutoCAD 2008 Compatibility
SI 5 now works with AutoCAD 2008 (standard version)
Add Products to Multiple Locations from Add Product/Package Dialogs
Save time by adding products and packages to multiple locations at once.

Database Estimated Price Preview
Cool new feature in Manage My Product Data (MMPD) that allows you to preview the price of equipment as if it were in a project (based on global defaults).

Update Case in Projects
Enforce consistent casing of manufacturer, category and model fields in projects by using the new D-Tools> Update Case feature

Spell Check
Spell check capability will be available for all fields where descriptive text is entered, reducing the likelihood of errors.

Improved Project Check-out
Improvements to project check-out allow you to: 1) automatically check out a project when opening, 2) automatically get the latest revision of project files when needed, and 3) see which projects have updated files on the server

Additional Data Fields Available for Reports
Custom Properties 1-10, Weight, Amps, Voltage, BTU, Rack Units, Dispersion, IP Address and Project Folder Path have been added to the reporting XML and are now available for custom reports

Improved Labor Hour Setup and Display
The Installed Price and Phase Setup dialogs have been redesigned to make it clearer how labor is calculated on individual items.

Improved Work Order Grid
Editing, sorting and filtering capabilities have been added to the Work Order grid, making it much easier to work with items on work orders.

Show Single Line Item for Labor on Proposals
Standard proposals will now show only one line for labor in the proposal summary, rather than showing Installation, Management and Design labor separately. Separate line items for labor can still be shown by using the 'show labor by phase in summary' option.

Hide and Show Archived Projects
Single button click to show either active or archived projects in the project grid makes it easy to clean up the grid by archiving projects.

Separate Labor and Equipment Tax for Reporting Purposes
Labor and equipment taxes have been separated in the reporting XML, making it possible to show these separately on reports
