CONNECTIONS Europe announces speakers for digital living conference and showcase (20/11/2007)

IBM, MSTV, T-Systems, and Philips CE to keynote

Parks Associates and CEA(r) today announced the speakers for CONNECTIONS(tm) Europe: Strategies for Digital Living Markets, an executive conference and showcase that will be hosted December 4-6, 2007, at the Adlon Kempinski in Berlin, Germany.

The CONNECTIONS(tm) Europe agenda features executives from leading global and European companies. They will participate in interactive sessions featuring expert analysis and Parks Associates global research on the changing business models for new technologies and services, including IPTV, digital entertainment, telco TV, set-top boxes; advanced integrated communications across mobile and landline phones; and home management.

Parks Associates reports significant growth in home network adoption in Europe since 2004, driven largely by broadband adoption. In 2006, 51% of French households and 50% of U.K. households had broadband, according to Global Digital Living(tm) II, the research firm's global research project, which attributes these significant gains to increased competition. Germany, Spain, and Italy also recorded growth in broadband adoption but trail other European countries due to their less competitive business environments.

Parks Associates features information on the European home networking market in the new white paper "Europe's Home Networking Boom," available for download at www.connectionseurope.com. This document also discusses the new opportunities created in this growing market, including the increased demand for multiple PCs.

"Speakers at CONNECTIONS(tm) Europe will discuss the new opportunities inherent in this dynamic business environment and exchange ideas on the impact of these converging industries," said Tricia Parks, founder and CEO of Parks Associates. "Our agenda offers an unmatched list of industry experts, and we look forward to hosting these key executives in Berlin."
