Expansion at The Multi-Room Company sees move into new premises (1/11/2007)

The Multi-Room Company, Cheltenham based distributor of hi-fi and custom installation products continues its expansion with a move into much larger premises. Formed in 2000, the company moved into its original facility near the centre of Cheltenham in 2003, but recent personnel expansion and the addition of new brands to the company's portfolio has now required a second move to a new office, warehouse and distribution centre.

Staverton Technology Park is situated just off junction 11 of the M5 between Cheltenham and Gloucester, providing excellent transport and communications links to enable customers to be served more effectively.

At four times the size of the old facility, the new building provides The Multi-Room Company with facilities to expand its training and development offerings. Dedicated training rooms are now available for multi-zone systems, home cinema, hi-fi and IP based products. The training function has further been expanded through the employment of Adam Brinton, a Microsoft Certified Professional, who will be heading up the company's network focussed training programmes.

The physical expansion of the business comes as the number of brands being distributed also expands. Already established distributors for Russound, Centralite, Leviton, Atlantic Technology and Inteset amongst others, during 2007 the company was appointed as official distributor for AudioQuest cables, Ceratec loudspeakers and most recently the Flying Mole range of digital amplifiers. Further brand expansion is planned for early 2008 as part of the company's growth strategy.

Doug Gale, managing director, said: "Our goal is to be seen as a 'one stop shop' for our customers' product requirements and now we have vastly more space we can develop the range of products we distribute to better serve our customers. Our already respected training programmes will also be enhanced through the use of our new dedicated training facilities and addition of Adam Brinton's specialist networking knowledge. I see this move as an important step in the next stage of development of The Multi-Room Company."
