News Premier Mounts Develops Custom Mount for World's Largest Display (18/10/2007) CEDIA US Expo 2007 Premier Dedicated Solutions division designs and produces mount that meets the demanding specifications for the Panasonic 103-inch plasma display To be the world's best, brightest, largest or first is a rare thing in today's technology market. So when the design engineers at Premier Mounts' Premier Dedicated Solutions (PDS) division were presented with the challenge of developing a mount for the world's largest Plasma display, they didn't hesitate for a moment. Specialists in custom mount design, fabrication and finishing, PDS has developed a mount that meets the installation needs of the world's largest flat-screen TV - Panasonic's 103-inch 1080p Plasma HDTV. Designed to meet the needs of professional and high-end home theater customers, Panasonic's 103-inch display has an effective display area that is more than 89.3" wide by over 50.2" high with a size equivalent to four 50-inch plasma displays. As a result, installation of a display of this size requires a unique mounting solution. "Designing a mount for a display of this size requires a unique combination of innovation, experience and ingenuity," said Len Dozier, president and founder of Premier Mounts. "In approaching this project, we had to consider how the display would be secured as well as the placement and the aesthetics of the room. Working closely with the Panasonic engineers, the end result is a marriage between form and function that is strong but not intrusive."
