CEDIA Region 1 invests in ISE (16/10/2007)

CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) Region 1, representing the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, has acquired 49% of the CEDIA Region 2 stake in Integrated Systems Europe (ISE).

This move ensures the Association for the ISE region will play a greater, more direct role in promoting professional home electronic systems design and integration to territories under its jurisdiction through ISE events, beginning with the Autumn ISE Roadshows. Through this buy-in, CEDIA Region 1 now has two ISE Board members with voting rights, representing the interests of the Association and its members and helping to direct the growth and development of ISE.

"CEDIA membership is expanding worldwide, and within the countries in Region 1 we have seen a significant increase in membership and activities" says Wendy Griffiths, CEDIA Region 1's Executive Director. "ISE is a proven vehicle for reaching integrators in these territories and with CEDIA's help we can directly support their growth and professionalism through our education and marketing programmes. That's why CEDIA Region 1 has invested directly in ISE. These roadshows and the seminar content which we are providing give us the perfect opportunity to underline this commitment".

Membership of CEDIA Region 1 currently stands at over 420 companies, an increase of over 10% on the equivalent time last year. CEDIA is confident this growth will continue, and predict new members coming increasingly from custom install markets across the region. Alongside CEDIA, the other key Association sponsors of ISE are InfoComm International(r) and NSCA. CEDIA Region 2, based in Indianapolis, representing the US, Canada and South America will continue to support ISE and be involved at a strategic level.

The second Autumn ISE Roadshow will visit five key cities over a nine day period. CEDIA will participate in each intensive one day programme, giving visitors the chance to find out more about the fast-growing custom installation sector through dedicated seminar sessions. These will offer an introduction to residential integration and also highlight the key technologies currently helping to drive sector growth across Europe. The ISE 2007 Roadshow arrives in Copenhagen, Denmark on Wednesday 17th of October and will then visit Poland (Warsaw, Friday 19th October); Czech Republic (Prague, Monday 22nd October); Austria (Vienna, Wednesday 24th October) and Croatia (Zagreb, Friday 26th October).
