News Cytech Europe announces new developments in the Comfort II range of Home Automation/Security products (9/10/2007) Flash Firmware upgrades Comfort II's central processor is now based on Flash technology from firmware 5.xxx onwards. This means that new firmware can be downloaded by the Comfigurator software tool. A UCM05 module for serial or Ethernet interface is required for downloading new firmware to another Comfort, Slave Expansion Module, CBUS Interface, EIB Interface or any other module, including another UCM05. The MPU-ULT plugin board will upgrade the firmware of non-Flash based Comfort II as well as allow firmware download in future.
Sunrise/Sunset Times/Daylight Saving Comfort II firmware 5.110 and above will have Sunrise/Sunset times which are downloaded from Comfigurator based on your location, city or coordinates. There will be a Sunrise and Sunset Response which can perform actions at the correct times, and a Night Flag is set after sunset to allow checking by other actions. This takes into account Daylight Savings time. In fact, Comfort will automatically adjust the clock for Daylight saving time on the correct days, eg Last Sunday of October and April, or the appropriate dates in other countries. EN50131 / PD6662 Compliance Comfort part number CP9000-ULT/EN03, compliant to the EN50131 European standards for Intruder Alarms (PD6662 in the UK) is now available for ordering. This requires keypads with different firmware, designated KP03E (without LCD) and KP04E (with LCD) National Self-Build & Renovation Centre Cytech will continue to take part in related Home automation and Security exhibitions in the UK. We also have a permanent stand at the National Self-Build and Renovation Centre at Swindon.
