News CentraLite Introduces the JetStream Wireless Lighting Control System (24/9/2007) CEDIA US Expo 2007 CentraLite Systems(r) Inc., an innovative developer of lighting control and automation products, has announced JetStream(tm), a new wireless lighting control system that delivers unmatched convenience and simplicity while being virtually invisible in a home or business. The system is fully expandable and can be integrated with other automation products such as thermostats, entertainment systems, and security equipment. "We are very excited to introduce JetStream," said Diane Davis, vice president of marketing for CentraLite Systems. "It's extremely innovative and priced to appeal to the mass market. JetStream's technology and rich feature set will definitely take lighting control to the next level. It's so simpleÑkeypads talk to each other. No controller is needed. JetStream is a great product for the retrofit market but we expect it to be used in new construction too. Its low price point makes lighting control affordable for everyone." JetStream at a glance JetStream's state-of-the-art design allows its intelligent keypads to broadcast directly to each other. No master controller is needed. Professional installation is fast and easy. Simply replace existing light switches with new JetStream dimmers and keypads and the system is ready to operate in minutes. JetStream's LaunchPak ships with five installation-ready, pre-programmed dimmers for Ôout-of-the-box' lighting control in up to five rooms. Up to 200 devices can be easily added if fuller coverage is desired throughout a home or office. Loaded with convenience features JetStream offers a full suite of dimming and convenience features. Use lighting scenes and timed events to simplify daily routines and create a pleasing environment throughout the home. Scenes can be designed for individual spaces, groups of rooms or the entire house, including landscape lighting. Bedtime and home entertainment scenes are especially popular. JetStream provides 512 dimming levels and the ability to compose up to 100 lighting scenes and 50 timed events. Critical asset for family safety JetStream also plays a critical role in family protection. With every light on the network addressable, the system can be triggered to turn on all house lights in a crisis, or even flash to signal help. Midnight pathways are easily created to assist frightened children, late arrivals or used for health/fire emergencies. With the optional car remote, lights can be controlled from the safety of your vehicle to generate a bright walkway into the house and beyond. Foundation of conservation program In addition to the convenience, beauty and security benefits of lighting control, JetStream is an excellent foundation for a comprehensive energy conservation program for your home. Installing dimmers throughout your home lowers energy consumption and extends light bulb. A huge benefit for recessed and difficult-to-reach lighting sources in today's homes and offices. Advantages of Zigbee and Mesh Networking JetStream, based on ZigBee(r) technology, achieves unparalleled functionality. When installed, the system forms a wireless, self-healing mesh network. Each keypad transmits commands to its neighbors without the use of a controller. If one keypad drops out of the network for any reason, its neighbors continue uninterrupted service by rerouting communication. The network is easy to expand. Simply install additional devices for more coverage. Pricing and Availability The JetStream System will be available in Q4 2007. Mix-and-match individual components to create a custom JetStream package or choose the LaunchPak Starter Kit with five pre-programmed dimmers and a car remote. JetStream LaunchPak Starter Kit $699 MSRP
