News SIM2 introduces C3X-E with true 10-bit video processing (3/8/2007) When SIM2 unleashed the original, groundbreaking C3X it rewrote the projector rules, such was its innovative engineering approach. Well the best has just got better, with an evolution of this exceptional design. The new C3X-E now implements true 10-bit video processing, which makes it compliant with full High Definition 24 frames per second content, and utilises an improved 250W lamp for truly exceptional brightness. The result is a true Italian masterpiece refined, offering extraordinarily vibrant colours and true blacks, all from an ultra compact cabinet. Such performance underlines not only SIM2's undisputed position as the world leader in High Definition, large-screen DLP(tm) images solutions, but also the incomparable quality achievable with the DLP(tm) format. As ever with a SIM2 component the same stunning industrial design remains, meaning the C3X-E is still elegance personified, as befits any product with Italian pedigree. The Grand Cinema C3X-E implements true 10-bit video processing (with high definition scaling and de-interlacing capabilities) to create the highest quality images. As it is a three-chip DLP(r) design, this means the C3X-E is capable of producing up to an mindboggling 35 trillion colours on-screen. This processing prowess also means the C3X-E now supports content supplied at 1080p at 24 frames per second, such as is available on Blu-ray discs and other high definition media. This means you experience the film at exactly the same speed that is used to shoot and master the films for the cinema, delivering master quality images for a true cinematic experience. A choice of two spurious particles-free, high quality lenses completes the improved package. The C3X-E remains the world's smallest, lightest and most competitively priced 3-Chip DLP(tm) home cinema projector. It is roughly a third of the size and 75% lighter than any of its competitors. Incorporating three of the latest HD2+ DarkChip(tm)DC3 chipsets from Texas Instruments and reinforcing SIM2's position as the world leader in Digital Light Processing (DLP(tm)) technology, the C3X-E is packed full of groundbreaking proprietary engineering. The C3X-E features no less than five registered patents. At the heart of the unit is SIM2's ingenious ALPHA PATH(tm) light engine, developed in-house at the company's Venicebased research and development facility. Suggested retail price inc VAT: Grand Cinema C3X-E
from £12,999.00.
