Calibre Launches PremierViewProHD-LED Professional HD HQV Image Scaler for LED Displays (13/7/2007)

Calibre UK launched their PremierViewProHD-LED image scaler at InfoComm 2007. PremierViewProHD-LED is a dedicated HD image scaler and seamless switcher especially optimised for LED displays with HQV processing and all the features and control ability expected from a Calibre image processing product which combine to make this the best LED image scaler you can buy. PremierViewPROHD-LED features true broadcast grade image processing using "HQV by Teranex" algorithms on Silicon Optix award-winning Realta chip, with optimized and specifically configured firmware for LED screen requirements by Calibre. Processing features include truly superb scaling, Picture-in-Picture, truly stunning HD performance, MPEG noise reduction for SD. 2D image detail enhancement and sharpness control. Video image stability and motion performance are outstanding with per pixel motion adaptive de-interlace for SD and HD with 3:2, 2:2 and non-standard/variable cadence detection. Per pixel motion adaptive noise reduction and image enhancement techniques not only improve HD sources but can make SD sources visually indistinguishable from HD on your LED screen.

HDMI and DVI inputs provide compatibility with HDMI 1.3 and DVI/iTMDS sources with or without HDCP. Color temperature, gains and cut-offs, gamma control is provided plus adjustable black crush for cleaning up noisy blacks on LED screens. Extreme image sizing from 64x48 through to 1080p/2k active image size. Several output modes Genlock to component, SD/HD-SDI or DVI/HDMI with broadcast-grade output stability and extremely fast lock time, processor will automatically switch between 50Hz and 59.94Hz depending on the input signal type. All modes include frame buffering for time-base synchronisation. Outputs are available in VGA analog and DVI digital formats, both of which can support up to 10-bit signal depth.

Audio time-line is automatically corrected for video processing delays, via a versatile range of audio input and output connections. System control is via a front-panel LCD menu controlled using rugged front panel keys with inbuilt status indication LEDs. Four user-programmable fast input select keys are provided together with "live feed" indication via the Input status key. Remote control is provided via TCP/IP or RS232, for which an intuitive 'Windows' application is provided.
