CEDIA UK Expo 2007

FMJ MS250 MusicFile Server - £3000.00 - The First Audiophile-Grade Server

A high-end CD Player with a 400GB hard drive that can hold up to 80,000 songs

- Superb audio quality using Arcam custom designed sound card and Arcam audiophile design techniques - Huge storage capacity, USB extendability & backup, multiple independent audio outputs - Designed to be fully integrated into large scale custom installations - Full network support for streaming to and from PCs / Macs - Internet access for Internet Radio, FreeDB auto track titling and more - The highest quality archiving for music from CD, Records, tapes and more - Burn CDs from stored music and load MP3 players and USB sticks via the front panel USB socket

The MS250 is a world class music replay and storage device that has been three years in development. The huge task of merging the requirements of audiophile sound with the computer based features of a server, has only been made possible by Arcam's extensive experience in building high-speed digital devices and high-end Hi-Fi.

Designed from the ground-up for long term reliability in high usage situations (hugely important for installers)

At its simplest the MS250 is an audiophile quality stereo CD player, with a built-in 400GB hard drive to store some 640 uncompressed CDs or up to 4800 CDs (about 80,000 tunes) in compressed audio formats. It can play and rip CDs at the same time. When used to its full potential it is an extremely powerful home music server that supports four audio zones, lets users burn compilation CDs and provides internet radio. It is fully featured for complex custom installations and will connect either via conventional analogue & digital audio connections or via a network.

Absolutely cutting edge audio technology throughout: MusicFile is a collection of technologies developed by Arcam to provide unprecedented sound quality and ease of use when storing and manipulating a personal music collection. MusicFile technology debuts in this brand new Arcam FMJ series product, the MS250.

- Arcam audiophile circuitry for stunning sound even from compressed formats - Four independent analogue audio outputs, each with their own volume control - Build basic room-to-room systems with the minimum of extra components - Auxiliary inputs with high quality Analogue to Digital converters - Record and/or distribute external sources such as FM/DAB radio tuners, record players or tape decks. - Audio can be independently streamed from the MS250 to multiple additional zones via Ethernet - The internal CD-RW drive enables CD burning of stored music as either data discs or CD Audio discs - Extensive connectivity means that MS250 can be easily integrated into custom installations. - Large 6 line front panel display means much of the functionality is available without the need for a video display

The FMJ MS250 is designed by Arcam and manufactured in the UK.
