News Extron Broadens DVI and HDMI Product Line (5/7/2007) CEDIA UK Expo 2007 Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce ten new DVI and HDMI Switchers, DA's, Extenders, and Equalizers. These products switch, split, and amplify DVI and HDMI signals, ensuring the integrity of a continuous digital signal path from source to destination. All of these new products accommodate a variety of mounting options for easy integration. They are ideal for professional and residential applications that utilize fully digital transmission of HDTV or high resolution computer-video signals. "With increasing use of digital video, integrators have a greater need for easily integrated DVI and HDMI systems," says Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "These ten new products provide integrator-friendly, cost-effective solutions for digital signal system integration." Extron is introducing two DVI switchers, and two HDMI Switchers, along with a DVI Distribution Amplifier, DVI Equalizer, HDMI Equalizer, DVI Cat 5 Extender, HDMI Cat 5 Extender, and the FOX 500 DVI, which is a fiber optic transmitter and receiver set for long-haul transmission of DVI-D, audio, and RS-232 control signals over a single fiber.
