Fujitsu enhances custom install Plasmavision range with B specification screens (5/7/2007)

CEDIA UK Expo 2007

Fujitsu Plasmavision(tm) UK today announces the availability of updated versions of its popular custom install range; the 58 series. Denoted by a small b at the end of the product code, the B specification screens feature two key enhancements that include an upgraded AVM II video processor and the latest glass. Superseding the original 58 series panels, the P50XHA58EBb and P42XHA58EBb are available now and can be seen for the first time at CEDIA Expo in London from 26th-28th June.

The enhanced AVM II video processor now includes many of the features of the AVM III chip from Fujitsu's forthcoming full 1080p AVIAMO range such as;

* 24p/30p film mode - complementing Fujitsu's video mode application, this approach allows for an increase in motion smoothness for all film based material with 24p/30p film mode detection.

* Advanced colour management - including a new menu selection which allows for gamma adjustment, ultimately improving the grey scale performance by targeting specific areas within the grey scale.

* Contour correction - enhanced tracking of contours on images to further reduce jagged edges.

In addition, the screens feature the 10th generation Matsushita Plasma Display Panel (PDP) glass with further improved brightness and contrast capabilities that combine to deliver HD pictures of the highest possible quality.
