Dynalite lighting control and home automation system goes Pronto (2/7/2007)

CEDIA UK Expo 2007

Augmenting the increasing number of available control interfaces for Dynalite systems, the Philips Pronto now provides a straightforward method for configuration and control.

The Philips Pronto team worked closely with Dynalite to ensure reliable operation of the Dynalite lighting control and home automation system through the co-development of a new Dynalite module for the ProntoScript tool, which enables two-way communication with the Pronto remote.

Ease-of-use was key in the development of the module, as consumer demand has driven a requirement for a single hand-held point of control for a range of typical smart home services. Whole-home control, such as the 'Welcome Home' and 'Goodbye' settings performed simply by other Dynalite user interfaces, is achieved using standard macro commands.

Each Pronto page features four preset lighting scenes, including feedback of current scene state. Additional ramp up and ramp down capability provides manual control of light level outside of preset settings.

Demonstration of the new module will be carried out at events around the world, including the upcoming CEDIA Expo at London's Excel 26-28 June 2007.
