News iLight shows TSC30 touch screen and Classic Plus range at CEDIA Expo (29/6/2007) CEDIA UK Expo 2007 "Intuitive User Interaction" with the mini LCD Touch Screen Controlling complex lighting and home automation systems in an intuitive and cost effective way is now possible with iLight's mini LCD colour touch screen (TSC30). The TSC30 is completely software based, and can be tailored to suit the needs of the user. Building plans, photos and 3D graphics can be used to meet individual tastes or themes. The ability to customise the screen in this way also makes the mini touch screen ideal for corporate installations such as hotel rooms or conference suites where logo's and branding styles may be programmed onto the display. New lighting control panels from iLight iLight introduce the Classic Plus range of lighting control panels at Cedia this year. The panels feature smaller buttons with a more compact configuration. Available in various layouts, the panels come in a variety of finishes with both screwless and a screw type fixing. The rear of the panels is shaped to fit the German style round back boxes commonly fitted in continental Europe. "These panels mean that installers in Europe can save time and effort since they won't have to replace existing back boxes," said Peter van der Kolk, iLight's European business development manager. "They also overcome the problem of sourcing UK back boxes on the continent." The European panels also have another innovation. The LEDs incorporated in the panels can be dimmed if required, which can be an advantage when used in a dark environment such as a bedroom. iLight is also introducing an architrave control panel. This thin and stylish panel, with its own back box, is designed to be mounted in narrow spaces such as in a door frame. Available with up to seven buttons, it also features dimmable LEDs, and comes in a choice of attractive finishes.
